About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified, Â鶹Դ´-registered Integrative counsellor with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Counselling and a Trainee Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist. My background is rooted in a deep curiosity about the human condition - exploring why we feel the way we do and how we can choose to live more authentically.
My practice is founded on principles of radical acceptance and affirmation, as a specialist in LGBTQIA+, Trans, and Non-Binary mental health (trained by Gendered Intelligence).
I have a dedicated focus on Men's Mental Health, drawing on over a decade of experience as a barber and degree-level research into the stigma, inherited masculinity norms, and cultural barriers that stop men from accessing therapy before they reach a crisis point. This has shaped how I make therapy feel accessible, approachable and more effective for male clients.
Outside my private practice, I also work part-time as a counsellor for an LGBTQIA+ charity, and one day a week as a hairdresser/barber.
Practice description
My approach is truly integrative, blending the "deep work" of the past with a focus on your future. I combine three primary pillars, including both short-term, solution-focused strategies and long-term exploratory processes, to help you make change effectively.
1. Existential & Psychodynamic: We look at the "givens" of life - freedom, responsibility, and the search for meaning. By exploring your early patterns and current life transitions, we identify the roots of your anxiety or feeling of being "stuck."
2. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): I don’t believe therapy should be endless talking without results. I use SFBT to help you identify your strengths and create a concrete "blueprint" for the life you want to lead.
3. Clinical Hypnotherapy: For clients looking to break habits, manage phobias, or reduce chronic stress, I integrate clinical hypnotherapy. This helps calm the nervous system and align your subconscious goals with your conscious actions.
Whether you are navigating a major life transition, dealing with the weight of depression, or managing neurodivergent burnout, my goal is to help you move from a state of "surviving" to one of intentional living.
I am currently offering a limited number of Reduced-Rate Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions while I complete the advanced certification of my qualification.
My first session
I know that starting therapy can feel like a daunting step - especially if you've previously felt misunderstood or unseen in clinical settings.
We begin with a free 15–30 minute online consultation, giving you the chance to ask questions, share what's brought you to therapy, and get a sense of whether my approach feels right for you. If we decide to work together, our first full session will focus on your immediate concerns and longer-term hopes.
There is no right way to show up.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
