About me and my therapy practice

Welcome, I am an MNCPS accredited counsellor working from my room on the beautiful, Dartington Estate, near Totnes in Devon.

I am a member of the NCPS and the Â鶹ԭ´´.

My training was integrative, although I primarily use a person centred approach, especially when we begin our sessions together.

As our work evolves, we can bring in CBT techniques or Gestalt therapy which focuses on the here and now and bringing new awareness to whatever current issues you are facing.

I offer a safe, empathic and confidential space where you can share whatever is bringing you to counselling.

I work with both adults and young people, either in person from my counselling room on the Dartington estate or online.

Being located in such a beautiful place also offers us the opportunity to get outside into nature and walk and talk during the session. This can be beneficial for everyone but especially for clients who have ADHD or Autism or those who simply struggle with sitting for so long indoors.

I also offer a free half an hour initial session which gives us the chance to meet and to find out if we are the right fit for each other, with no obligation.

Everyone’s counselling journey is unique, some clients only require a few sessions whereas others find long term support beneficial.

I have a personal interest in neurodiversity, which came about through my own family’s journey to diagnosis. I understand what it feels like to be anxious and to feel out of place in the world and I can truly empathise when clients express feelings of anxiety, loneliness, fear, or uncertainty.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and a level 3 safeguarding children certificate.

Practice description

I work with adults and young people and have experience supporting students in secondary school settings. I have a particular interest in working with individuals on the autistic spectrum and with ADHD, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed.

Feel free to send me a message so we can explore how counselling can support you.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute initial session which gives us a chance to meet and discuss what is bringing you to counselling.

This is also an opportunity for me to explain a bit about how I work and for you to ask any questions you may have.
