About me and my therapy practice

Welcome. If you’re carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, grief, past trauma, addiction, or overwhelming emotions, it can feel like life is slipping out of your control. The days may blur together, energy runs low, and hope can feel far away. You don’t have to face that alone. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you tap into your own strength, clarity, and self-awareness so you can make changes that truly last. Together, we’ll create a path toward a life where you feel grounded, understood, and free to live authentically — with more balance, peace, and purpose.

I believe that the relationship you have with yourself — and with others — is central to your wellbeing. I also place great value on the healing relationship between counsellor and client, as it provides the trust, safety, and understanding needed to explore difficult experiences. This connection can be a powerful catalyst for personal growth, emotional healing, and lasting change.

My core modalities include Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am also a trauma-informed therapist, drawing on Polyvagal theory to help you understand and regulate your nervous system as part of the healing process. This allows me to work holistically — whether that’s supporting you to process present emotions, explore patterns from the past, or develop practical tools for change. Together, we can find the approach that feels most supportive for you.

Practice description

I am a highly qualified, university-trained Integrative Counsellor, holding a Level 7 (PG Dip) qualification in Counselling. Which means not only do I use evidence-based theory and practice to ensure the best outcomes for you as my client, but I can continually adapt my counselling approach to best suit your needs throughout your therapeutic journey. After all, there is no one size fits all box in therapy.

Additionally, I hold a Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Diploma and a Master NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner’s Certification, enabling me to integrate powerful mindset and behavioural change techniques into therapy where they can enhance the healing process.

With my qualifications and experience I bring both depth of knowledge and a breadth of skills to my work. You can feel assured that you are working with a highly qualified and committed professional.

I work from a secure, comfortable and private home office that is located on the ground floor, with toilet facilities and is wheelchair accessible. There is free on street parking, on a quiet cul-de-sac.

My first session

I offer a complimentary fifteen-minute call to answer any questions and check availability. You will have the opportunity to book an initial assessment or if preferred take time to reflect on my suitability / fit for your needs.

Our first scheduled assessment will last 50 minutes and although it will feel therapeutic, the goal is to gather information to inform a more detailed picture of your difficulties to ensure suitability to the counselling process.
