About me and my therapy practice
If life feels overwhelming, lonely, or uncertain right now, you don’t have to face it alone.
Hello, I’m Deborah, an integrative counsellor and founder of The Mind Place. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through.
Integrative counselling simply means I don’t believe one single type of therapy works for everyone. I combine different approaches to suit you - sometimes exploring the past to understand the present, other times using practical tools to help you manage day-to-day. Together, we’ll find what works best for you.
Alongside my extensive training, I have personal experience of supporting people with mental health challenges. This has deepened my empathy and shaped the safe, down-to-earth way I work.
If you’re struggling with anxiety, loss, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I can offer a place to pause, reflect, and start moving forward at your own pace. I have experience of working with young people and adults and offer support for a wide range of issues.
My fees start from £65 per session.
My first session
During our first session, you will have the opportunity to tell me about your presenting issue. I will use this session to find out as much as I can about whatever you are struggling with and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you have. For this first session only, I will go through an assessment form to gauge the best way to help you and make brief notes as we go along. In all future sessions, you will be in the driving seat and we will be able to work on any issues that you are having.
