Embarking on a therapeutic journey is a personal decision, and I'm here to ensure your experience is as supportive and effective as possible. My approach centers entirely around you, offering flexible ways to connect that fit seamlessly into your life.
You can choose what works best: online sessions for the comfort of your own space, face-to-face meetings in a private setting, or telephone calls for maximum flexibility. The decision is always yours, and I'll adapt to your preference.
Standard therapy sessions are 60 minutes, and we'll decide together if weekly or fortnightly sessions suit your needs and goals. Occasionally, sessions might extend to 90 minutes if a particular approach requires more time, but this will always be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.
Maintaining the highest professional standards is crucial to my practice. I engage in monthly supervision with an accredited supervisor to ensure I'm always providing the best possible care and continuously developing my skills. Safeguarding is paramount; I adhere strictly to all guidelines, whether we're working remotely or in person, to ensure your safety and well-being.

My first session
The first session is a great way for us to see if we're a good fit.
I offer a free 15-minute discovery session. This is a chance for us to chat informally, get to know each other a bit, and see if my approach aligns with what you're looking for. It's really important that both of us feel comfortable and confident moving forward.
If, after that, you decide you'd like to proceed, our first full session will be tailored to what we discuss. We'll spend time "contracting," which essentially means we'll talk about the practicalities of how we'll work together, like confidentiality and scheduling. We'll also begin the assessment phase, where we'll collaboratively explore your needs and goals in more detail. This helps us both understand the best way to structure our ongoing sessions and develop a treatment plan that's just right for you.
