About me and my therapy practice

I provide a nurturing space where you can be truly heard. I have experience and special interests in Anxiety, Trauma, ADHD, Autism, Parenting, Relationships, and Dating patterns, but I鈥檓 here to support you with whatever you are facing.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or simply too much. You might be living with anxiety, depression, low mood, or stuck in patterns that leave you feeling frustrated or disconnected from loved ones, your daily life, or even from yourself. You may wonder if things will ever feel manageable again.

Therapy offers space to slow down and reconnect with who you are. My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and CBT techniques. This allows us to gently explore your inner world while also finding practical ways to feel more grounded, confident, and connected in your life.

Practice description

Anxiety

You might feel restless or stuck in a cycle of worry. Even small decisions can feel overwhelming. Social media can increase pressure, comparing yourself to others and leaving you feeling like you鈥檙e not enough. Together, we鈥檒l gently explore your anxiety and find practical ways to help you feel calmer and more grounded.

Trauma

You may carry trauma from a single event or ongoing experiences like abuse or neglect. Trauma can affect how you see yourself and relate to others. You might feel anxious, shut down, or afraid of closeness while still longing for connection. I offer a safe space to explore these feelings and begin healing at your pace.

Neurodivergence

If you are neurodivergent or suspect you might be, life can feel overwhelming. Whether diagnosed early or later, or still curious, managing daily life can be exhausting. Together, we鈥檒l create a gentle space to understand your experience and find ways to care for yourself and reduce burnout.

Parenting

Do you feel like you're not enough? Exhausted by behaviour or unsure how to respond? School pressures, adolescence, or supporting a neurodivergent child can feel overwhelming. Guilt, frustration, or co-parenting stress may add strain. As a psychotherapist with a psychology and child development degree and as a parent myself, I offer a supportive space to explore your feelings and find practical ways forward.

Relationships

Relationships are complex. You might feel hurt, isolated, or uncertain about how to reconnect, or perhaps you鈥檝e chosen to focus on your own wellbeing. You don鈥檛 have to face this alone. Together, we鈥檒l gently explore your feelings with kindness and support, helping you find clarity and build confidence.

Dating

If you see repeating patterns in your dating life, like difficulty setting boundaries or attracting similar partners, it鈥檚 normal to feel frustrated. These often have deeper roots. Together, we鈥檒l explore them to help you build healthier, balanced relationships where you feel safe and seen.

My first session

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big and sometimes uncertain step. You might be feeling nervous, unsure of what to expect, or not quite sure where to begin, and that鈥檚 completely okay.

In our first session, my focus is on creating a welcoming space where you can feel safe to be yourself. There鈥檚 no pressure to share anything you鈥檙e not ready to, and there鈥檚 no 鈥渞ight鈥 way to start. We鈥檒l go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a sense of trust. I鈥檒l invite you to talk about what鈥檚 brought you to therapy, what you鈥檇 like support with, and any hopes or concerns you may have. You鈥檙e also welcome to ask me any questions about how I work, or about the therapy process in general.

I鈥檒l explain a little about my approach and how we might begin to explore the issues you want to work on. If you have any preferences or things that help you feel more at ease, I really welcome you sharing those, therapy should be a space that works for you.

Some clients come with clear goals in mind, others just know something doesn鈥檛 feel right and want a space to talk. However you arrive, we鈥檒l work together gently to begin making sense of things.

By the end of the session, we鈥檒l check in about how it felt and whether you鈥檇 like to continue. There鈥檚 absolutely no pressure, it鈥檚 about finding a therapist and a space that feels like the right fit for you.

If this feels like the right place for you, I would be glad to hear from you, please reach out whenever you feel ready.
