About me and my therapy practice
Hello – I’m Liz, an integrative counsellor offering a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions in a tranquil and supportive setting.
I work with children, young people, and adults, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit everyone. My practice combines person-centred, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques – allowing me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs, whether you’re looking to understand the past, navigate the present, or plan for the future.
Many people describe me as a warm and kind person who helps them feel safe, visible, and secure. I listen deeply and work at your pace, supporting you as you begin to reconnect with yourself and move forward in life.
I offer counselling in a way that suits you best – whether that’s face-to-face, online, over the phone, or through walk and talk sessions in natural surroundings. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel heard and supported, no matter what you’re facing.
If you’d like to take the next step or have any questions, I’d be happy to hear from you.
Practice description
I have a small private counselling practice offering face to face, online, walk and talk and telephone sessions.
Face to face sessions are offered at a location based in Gayton, Wirral .There is on street parking but unfortunetly we do not offer a visitors waiting area.
Regular reviews will be conducted throughout the therapy to ensure that we remain focussed on the outcomes that you wanting to achieve.
The frequency of the sessions, timing and type of therapy will be dependant on your preferences.
In some instances, I can arrange to meet with children and young adults in the education setting.
My first session
I offer an initial telephone consultation of approximately 30 minutes free of charge. We will talk about why you think you need therapy, your expectations of therapy and what you hope to achieve. You can ask the questions that are important to you and I will do my best to answer them.
We will agree to a counselling contract. We will have it in writing so that we know what to expect of each other and the counselling process.
In our first session, I will ask you some questions. The questions help me to make sure that I have the right skills and expertise to work with you and support you and more importantly give you the opportunity to find out if I am the right fit for you.
