About me and my therapy practice

Does life feel harder than it should right now?

Maybe you鈥檙e feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of overthinking or like you鈥檝e lost touch with your sense of self. Or perhaps you鈥檙e not exactly sure what鈥檚 wrong, only that something doesn鈥檛 feel right, and you鈥檇 like some support to figure it out.

Whether you鈥檙e dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or past experiences that still affect you, you are welcome here.

I offer a space where you can slow down, breathe and explore what鈥檚 been going on, at your own pace and without judgement. We鈥檒l work together to untangle your thoughts and feelings and begin to understand what鈥檚 been holding you back.

A bit about me:

My interest in mental health began in my teens after my first experience of counselling. I decided to study Psychology at university, gaining both an undergraduate degree and a master鈥檚 in health psychology. While research and academia weren鈥檛 the right fit for me at that point, the journey I went on post-University opened the door to counselling, which has been my passion ever since.

My varied career path has led me to working with individuals from all walks of life. Most recently, I鈥檝e worked with adolescents and young adults, supporting them on their journey to independence. I鈥檓 also currently in training to become a self-defence instructor, which has strengthened my interest in how mental and physical wellbeing are connected.

Ready to take the next step?

If you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed or simply know it鈥檚 time to make a change, I鈥檓 here for you.

Practice description

My style is:

-Warm, gentle and supportive: creating a place where you can be yourself without fear of judgement.

-Empowering: My role is to walk alongside you rather than lead the way. I don鈥檛 position myself as an expert on your life. I won鈥檛 tell you what to do, but I will provide a collaborative space where you can explore, reflect and build the confidence to make your own choices.

-Integrative: I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I combine different approaches to tailor counselling to your needs.

-Inclusive: I am committed to offering a respectful and safe environment that is anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, affirming of Trans identities, Fat positive and supportive of neurodivergence without seeking to change behaviour.

How long will it take?

Every person鈥檚 journey is unique, and there鈥檚 no 鈥渙ne-size-fits-all鈥 when it comes to how long counselling might take. Some people notice positive changes after just a few sessions, while others find longer-term support more helpful. You鈥檙e always in control of how long you choose to attend, and we can review this together as we go.

Counselling is a time for you to explore, reflect, and work through challenges at your own pace. Sometimes, this process can bring up difficult feelings, and it鈥檚 possible to feel worse before you start to feel better. This is a normal part of growth and healing.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute 'compatibility call' online via Teams for you to see if I'm a good fit. Going forward, we will agree on the format (online, in-person or home visit) and day/time of our sessions.

Before our first session, I provide a counselling agreement that outlines how we will work together. This includes important information such as confidentiality, session length and fees, cancellation policies, and what you can expect from our sessions.

The first session is paid upfront, and after that, we will agree on a payment schedule that suits your needs.
