About me and my therapy practice
Welcome.
I am a Person-Centred MÂé¶¹Ô´´ counsellor based in coastal Aberdeenshire, working with adults on a one-to-one basis.
I offer a flexible approach to therapy, providing sessions in-person from my peaceful Mongolian yurt in Collieston, outdoors via Walk and Talk in the local, private coastal countryside, or online UK wide for those who prefer the comfort of their own space.
My practice is built on the belief that a nurturing, grounded environment is vital for navigating life’s more turbulent seasons.
Practice description
This practice is rooted in the unique landscape of the North East coast. I chose to work from The Yurt because it offers a safe, quiet sanctuary away from the noise of daily life, where nature acts as a constant, calming companion.
A background in the arts and as a Forest School Leader deeply influences my work; I value the human story and the healing power of the natural world. Whether we are sitting in the yurt, walking and talking, or meeting on screen, my goal is to provide a steady, empathetic presence as you find your own way forward.

My first session
How it Works: 3 Easy Steps
I aim to make the process of starting therapy feel as simple and non-scary as possible. We move at your pace:
Step 1 – Email me: Ask to book a free initial meeting. This lasts up to 20 minutes and is held online. I’ll explain how I work, and you can ask any questions you have.
Step 2 – Connection: If it feels like a good fit, we can book a session. We will agree on the therapeutic space (Yurt, local coastal walk, or online), the date, and the time. I will send you a contract to confirm our therapeutic agreement. Sign and email back to me. Ready to start.
Step 3 – You turn up: Fees are payable in advance to secure your time. There is no pressure to "perform" or know exactly what to say; we take it from there.
Types of Therapy
The heart of my practice is Person-Centred Counselling. This is primarily a talk-based therapy where I provide a warm, empathetic space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.
You can choose the setting that feels most comfortable for you:
In-Person: In the calm confidential Yurt in my garden based in Collieston, Aberdeenshire.
Walk & Talk: Risk-assessed routes through local, coastal countryside.
Online: Available UK-wide via video call.
Specialist Add-ons (Available on Request):
While our work is usually talk-based, I am also a practitioner in Person-Centred Therapeutic Creative Arts and can incorporate creative exploration if you feel it would be helpful. I also offer Single Session Therapy for those looking for immediate clarity on a specific, focused issue.
