About me and my therapy practice
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly, explore your thoughts and feelings, and begin to make sense of what’s going on in your life.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to you as a whole person - emotionally, mentally, and creatively. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you are feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or just need someone to truly listen, I will meet you where you are and help you move forward.
My aim is to help you feel more at peace with yourself, more confident in your decisions, and more connected in your relationships. I offer a safe, compassionate, and personalised approach to therapy, shaped by what works best for you. As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic models — including person-centred, psychodynamic, creative.
Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply feel ready to understand yourself more fully, I can help you create a space to reflect, grow, and feel more at peace within yourself.
Practice description
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
My practice is open to individual and couples sessions, and I work online, in person in Christchurch — including creative outdoor sessions by the sea and walk and talk.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. I may also incorporate gentle creative techniques (like imagery or visual work) if that interests you — no artistic skills needed.
For couples, I provide a space to improve communication, understand recurring patterns, and rebuild emotional connection. My aim is to support both partners equally.
Sessions are confidential and tailored to you — whether you’re looking for short-term support or longer-term exploration.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. It’s a chance for us to meet, talk through what’s going on for you, and see if we feel like a good fit to work together.
There’s no pressure to share everything at once — you can go at your own pace. I’ll ask a few gentle questions about what’s led you to seek support, and I’ll also explain how I work, what confidentiality means, and answer any questions you may have.
Sessions last 50 minutes and can take place either online or in person.
Before the session, I’ll send you a short intake form to complete, along with details about the location (if face-to-face), how to join online (if remote), and payment information.
There’s no obligation to continue after the first session. If you decide to go ahead, we can agree a regular time and talk about how we’ll work together — whether that’s open-ended or for a fixed number of sessions.
I aim to make your first experience of counselling feel safe, respectful, and focused on your needs.
If you’d like to find out more, feel free to get in touch. I offer a free 30-minute call to see if we’re a good fit.
