About me and my therapy practice
If you're feeling low, anxious, fearful, or stuck in a rut, seeking psychotherapy can help you address and resolve the emotional challenges that may be preventing you from living the life you want. You might be struggling with relationships, repeating the same patterns, or finding it difficult to connect with others.
I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist working with adults of all ages and backgrounds, and I offer a culturally sensitive and affirming space. My own background informs my capacity to work with cultural differences in an empathic and respectful way.
Drawing from Person-Centred and Psychodynamic therapies, we’ll build a compassionate, personalised plan that feels authentic to you.
My training includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London. During my training, I worked with a range of clients in the NHS and low-cost services.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, meaning I work within the Â鶹Դ´â€™s ethical framework and adhere to its professional code of conduct. This includes treating any information shared in therapy with respect and maintaining the strictest confidence.
Practice description
Engaging in therapy can provides you with a confidential and non-judgmental environment in which you can articulate your concerns and challenges. This process facilitates an examination of one’s internal landscape, allowing for the exploration of feelings and behaviours that may have previously gone unrecognized. By reflecting on both past experiences and present circumstances, you can uncover patterns and motivations that may have been difficult to comprehend independently.
I have experience supporting individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including:
Trauma and stress
Anxiety, worry, and chronic self-criticism
Abuse, neglect, and adverse childhood experiences
Attachment issues and relational difficulties
Emotional regulation and self-harm
Unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours rooted in early life experiences
Cultural Adjustment Stress
Isolation and Loneliness
Loss and Grief
Addressing Social Identity
My first session
I offer an initial 50 minute session to explore whether we might like to work together for further therapy. This session is charged at the standard rate. This session allows us to know each other, and it’s important that you feel this is the right fit for you. There is no obligation to continue afterward.
If you would like, we can schedule a free 15-minute telephone consultation. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions and determine if you would like to book an appointment. If you feel that I am the right therapist for you, we can then arrange our first session.
