About me and my therapy practice
As a registered MÂ鶹Դ´ Person-Centred Counsellor, I specialise in working with children, teenagers, and young people to support their mental health and build emotional resilience. I currently work both as a school counsellor and in private practice.
In addition to my private practice, I provide counselling services to other organisations across West Sussex that partner with West Sussex County Council. This includes work with young carers, social care services, Early Help, and other community initiatives.
With nearly 10 years of experience supporting young people in schools, colleges, and community settings, I offer a wide range of therapeutic support, including adult counselling, as well as art and play therapy for children and young people. I work with primary, secondary, and special educational needs (SEND) schools across West, East, and Mid Sussex. My training includes Cruse Bereavement Support, Place2Be, and an Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSWi).
I strongly believe that early mental health support can have a profoundly positive impact on a young person’s future, helping them develop the tools they need to lead emotionally healthy lives. I have supported many young clients experiencing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low mood, bereavement, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and difficulties with relationships. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where they can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.
I am passionate about my work and committed to ongoing professional development. I regularly update my skills and integrate new approaches to support young people more effectively. My practice is professionally supervised by a qualified clinical supervisor, and I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and full professional insurance.
Practice description
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially for Adults and young people. My aim is to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where children and teenagers feel heard, understood, and supported.
In our sessions, I work at the pace of the Adult and young person, using a person-centred approach alongside creative tools like art and play therapy where appropriate. This helps them express themselves in ways that feel natural and comfortable.
Each session is confidential and tailored to the individual's needs. Whether they're struggling with anxiety, low mood, grief, self-harm, or other emotional challenges, therapy offers a space to explore feelings, learn coping strategies, and build emotional resilience.
I work closely with families, schools, and other professionals when needed, always with the young person’s wellbeing at the centre. Together, we work towards greater self-understanding, confidence, and long-term emotional well-being.
