About me and my therapy practice

I believe that you are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to help you explore with curiosity and compassion. Drawing from different therapeutic approaches including Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, I adapt my approach to suit your unique needs rather than trying to fit you into a one-size-fits-all model. I create a safe, non-judgemental space where all parts of you are welcome - even those you might normally hide from others.

Our work together might involve exploring patterns from your past, developing new ways of relating to difficult emotions, or discovering the strength that lies beneath your struggles. I offer both in-person sessions in Exeter and online counselling via Zoom, giving you flexibility to engage in therapy in the way that works best for you. I believe in your innate capacity for healing and growth, even when you might not see it yourself.

Practice description

My practice offers particular depth in three specialist areas. If you're recovering from narcissistic abuse or antagonistic relational stress, I provide a space where your experiences are believed and validated, helping you rebuild your sense of self and establish healthy boundaries. For LGBTQIA+ individuals, I offer an affirming environment to explore identity, relationships, and societal challenges. And if you're a highly sensitive person, I understand the unique gifts and challenges of deep emotional processing, helping you navigate a world that often misunderstands your natural sensitivity.

I know that reaching out for support isn't always easy. It takes courage to take that first step, and finding a therapist who feels right for you matters a lot.

If you're curious about working together, why not start with a free 15-minute phone chat? It's casual, there's absolutely no pressure to continue if it doesn't feel like the right fit, and it gives us both a chance to see if we might work well together.
