About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I鈥檓 Lucy, an integrative counsellor. I鈥檓 really glad you鈥檝e found your way here.
If you鈥檝e arrived on my page feeling a little lost, burnt out, or like you鈥檝e been holding far too much on your own, you deserve support with the weight you鈥檙e carrying.
鈿
You might recognise yourself in moments such as:
鈥 Lying awake at night with thoughts that won鈥檛 switch off
鈥 Taking on the physical stress of work or family life
鈥 Saying 鈥測es鈥 to things you鈥檇 prefer to say 鈥渘o鈥 to
鈥 Getting caught in familiar, unhelpful relationship patterns
鈥 Feeling unfulfilled, but unsure about where to start
鈥 Struggling with the quiet belief that you're not good enough
If any (or none) of the above resonate with you, know that you don鈥檛 have to work through it alone. It鈥檚 human to worry about whether your concerns are 'serious鈥 enough or if you are 'right鈥 for therapy, though please be assured - your experience is valid and your story is welcome.
Many people come to therapy hoping to:
鈥 Have a space to speak openly and feel heard and understood
鈥 Develop clarity around their feelings and reactions
鈥 Settle a busy mind and a tense body
鈥 Be a little kinder and more accepting towards themselves
鈥 Soften the inner voice that criticises or pushes too hard
鈥 Reduce guilt around establishing healthier boundaries
鈿
This is a non-judgemental and collaborative space. I provide a calm, secure environment where we hold what feels difficult, giving full space for you to simply be with your emotions and honour the experience as it is. From here, we can gently consider what a steady, authentic way forward looks like, one that feels true to who you are.

鈥 Existential thinking - making space for big questions of meaning, purpose, and living in harmony with your core self
鈥 Psychodynamic insight 鈥 uncovering deeper patterns and past experiences that shape how you feel today
鈥 Cognitive approaches 鈥 noticing thoughts that impact mood, confidence and day-to-day stress
In our work together I offer gentle curiosity and thoughtful challenge when something important needs attention. I support you in reconnecting with the experiences and emotions that haven鈥檛 had space, always aiming to strengthen your inner resources and empower you to trust your own direction.
I have experience in many areas which include:
鈥 Identity and self-worth
鈥 Anxiety and depression
鈥 Unhealthy relationship patterns
鈥 People-pleasing and self-silencing
鈥 Health related issues
鈥 Loss and grief
鈥 Work stress and overcommitting
鈥 Self-image, desire and sexuality
鈥 Self-harm and coping mechanisms

Whether who you are fits into a neat category or not, your truth is one that deserves care. I work inclusively with people whose identities or experiences sit outside the mainstream, and welcome those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse.
If you feel ready to begin, you鈥檙e welcome to reach out or book your consultation, I鈥檇 be happy to meet you.

My first session
I offer a free 15 - minute phone call so you can ask any questions and share a little about what has brought you here - there鈥檚 no pressure or obligation, just a gentle starting point.
The first session is a calm, settling-in space. We鈥檒l consider what brings you here, what you鈥檙e hoping for and how we can work together in a way that feels steady, safe and supportive for you.
Once a counselling session is booked, I鈥檒l send a counselling agreement to read and sign electronically, along with a short personal-details form.
Therapy Prices (Payable on booking):
鈥 In-person, Buckhurst Hill - 拢65 (50 minutes)
鈥 Online - 拢55 per session (50 minutes)
鈥 4 x Online sessions - 拢200
If you鈥檙e unsure, the initial phone call is there to help you decide whether this feels like the right fit.
