I currently have availability for new clients and offer in-person sessions in Buckhurst Hill (IG9) as well as online. Appointments are available Monday to Thursday, 11am - 7pm (last appointment at 6pm). I work with adults (18+) and provide online therapy across the UK.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I鈥檓 Lucy, an integrative counsellor working with adults.

I support people who feel anxious, overwhelmed or stuck in their thoughts, often carrying a sense that they don鈥檛 quite fit in or are getting it wrong.

You might recognise yourself in moments like:

  • Lying awake at night, unable to switch off
  • Replaying conversations or worrying what others think
  • Saying 鈥測es鈥 when you鈥檇 rather say 鈥渘o鈥
  • Feeling tension or anxiety in your body
  • Finding it hard to say what you need or express how you feel

This can show up as overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling like you鈥檙e always trying to keep up.

It鈥檚 also common to wonder whether what you鈥檙e going through is 鈥榮erious enough鈥 for therapy.

You鈥檙e welcome to come exactly as you are.

Many people come to therapy hoping to:

  • Speak openly and feel heard and understood
  • Make sense of their feelings, patterns and where they come from
  • Feel calmer in their mind and more settled in their body
  • Set boundaries and feel more secure in relationships
  • Find ways to navigate overwhelming emotions with more ease

I offer a calm, steady space where we can gently look at what feels difficult, without pressure to have the 鈥榬ight鈥 words or a clear starting point.

Rather than trying to change who you are, we can begin to understand how you work, what you need, and what might help life feel more manageable, fulfilling and true to you.

Practice description

I鈥檓 a 麻豆原创 registered integrative counsellor with a Level 6 Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I鈥檝e worked in both NHS services and private practice, and engage in ongoing supervision and professional development.

I have experience supporting people with:

  • Anxiety, stress and overthinking
  • Identity and self-worth
  • Relationship patterns and communication
  • People-pleasing and masking
  • Work stress and overcommitting
  • Loss and grief
  • Health-related concerns
  • Self-image, desire and sexuality
  • Self-harm and coping strategies

I also work with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD. It鈥檚 important to me to understand your experience from your perspective, rather than making assumptions about what things are like for you.

As an integrative therapist, I take a whole-person approach, taking into account your past, present and future. Our work isn鈥檛 one-size-fits-all, but shaped around you as an individual.

In our sessions, I offer gentle curiosity and thoughtful challenge when something feels important. We鈥檒l slow things down and make sense of what鈥檚 going on, at a pace that feels right for you.

At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. Having a space where you can be seen, heard and accepted can be quietly powerful, and often brings a sense of relief in itself. From there, we can begin to understand things more clearly and build trust in your own direction.

My practice is inclusive and affirming, welcoming people from all backgrounds and identities, including those who are LGBTQ+.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute phone call so you can ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. There鈥檚 no pressure or obligation, just a gentle starting point.

The first session is a calm space to begin getting to know each other. We鈥檒l explore what鈥檚 been going on for you, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and how we can work together in a way that feels supportive.

Therapy works best with consistency and space to build trust over time. I usually work with clients on a weekly basis, as this helps create the safety needed for meaningful change. I can also work flexibly where needed.

I work in an open-ended way, meaning we can continue for as long as it feels helpful. Some people come for a shorter period, while others choose to work longer-term over months or more. We can review this together as we go.

You鈥檙e welcome to let me know about any preferences or needs that would help you feel more comfortable, including things like pace, communication or sensory environment.

Therapy Prices (Payable on booking):

拢55 per session (50 minutes)

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I鈥檓 Lucy, an integrative counsellor. I work with people who feel anxious, overwhelmed or stuck in their thoughts, often carrying a sense that they don鈥檛 quite fit in or are getting it wrong.

If this feels familiar, you don鈥檛 have to carry it on your own.

You might recognise yourself in moments such as:

鈥 Lying awake with racing thoughts or replaying things you鈥檝e said

鈥 Saying 鈥測es鈥 to things you鈥檇 prefer to say 鈥渘o鈥 to

鈥 Feeling exhausted from battling with your critical inner voice

鈥 Struggling to shake tension or anxiety in your body

鈥 Finding it hard to say what you need or express how you really feel

This might also show up as people-pleasing, perfectionism, or feeling like you鈥檙e always trying to keep up.

It鈥檚 common to wonder whether your concerns are 'serious enough鈥 or 鈥榬ight鈥 for therapy. Your experience is valid and you鈥檙e welcome as you are.

Many people come to therapy hoping to:

鈥 Have a space to speak openly and feel heard and understood

鈥 Make sense of their thoughts, feelings and patterns

鈥 Feel calmer in their mind and more settled in their body

鈥 Set boundaries and feel more secure in relationships

鈥 Be kinder to and more accepting of themselves

I offer a calm, steady setting where we can gently look at what feels difficult, without pressure to have the 鈥榬ight鈥 words or a clear starting point.

Rather than trying to change who you are, we can begin to understand how you work, what you need, and what might help life feel more manageable, fulfilling and true to you.

Practice description

I鈥檓 a 麻豆原创 integrative counsellor with a Level 6 Diploma in Integrative Counselling (degree level equivalent). I'm a warm, honest, quietly free-spirited therapist.

I鈥檝e worked in both NHS services and private practice and engage in ongoing supervision and professional development.

I have experience supporting people with:

鈥 Anxiety, stress and overthinking

鈥 Identity and self-worth

鈥 Relationship patterns and communication

鈥 People-pleasing and masking

鈥 Work stress and overcommitting

鈥 Loss and grief

鈥 Health-related concerns

鈥 Self-image, desire and sexuality

鈥 Self-harm and coping strategies

I also work with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD, understanding how this can shape everyday life, from restlessness to emotional intensity and shame. I bring both professional and personal understanding to this work, offering a compassionate space.

As an integrative therapist, my approach draws from:

鈥 Relational work 鈥 understanding how you connect with others and recognising patterns in relationships

鈥 Person-centred values 鈥 offering warmth, empathy and somewhere you can be fully yourself

鈥 Psychodynamic insight 鈥 discovering how past experiences may be shaping how you feel now

鈥 Existential thinking 鈥 making space for questions around meaning, identity and how you want to live

鈥 Cognitive approaches 鈥 noticing patterns in thoughts that impact mood and daily life

In our sessions, I offer gentle curiosity and thoughtful challenge when something feels important. We鈥檒l slow things down and make sense of what鈥檚 going on, at a pace that feels right for you.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship we build together. Having a space where you can be seen, heard and accepted can be quietly powerful and bring a sense of relief. From there, we can begin to understand things more clearly and build trust in your own direction.

My practice is inclusive, welcoming people from all backgrounds and identities, including those who are LGBTQIA+.

My first session

I offer a free 15 - minute phone call so you can ask any questions and share a little about what has brought you here. This call is also a chance to get a sense of whether working together is right for you.

I usually work with clients on a weekly basis, as this helps create the safety needed to explore things more deeply. I understand that life can be busy, so I can also work flexibly where needed.

I work in an open-ended way, meaning we can work together for as long as it feels helpful. Some people come for a shorter period, often around six sessions, while others choose to work longer-term over months or more, depending on their needs. We can check in and review this together as we go.
