About me and my therapy practice

I welcome anyone who’s feeling lost, overwhelmed, anxious, stuck or simply unhappy to take the time and space to explore ways forward, inviting them to embrace growth and change. I respect and recognise that we all view the world a little differently and focus on working with the whole person, not solely on a specific issue.

I am a great believer that given the right therapeutic environment, working with someone who is empathetic and non-judgemental will give you the chance to become more self-aware and work towards bringing about positive life changes.

It’s important that you take time to find the right therapist for you, because part of the healing power comes from the relationship that develops when you feel listened to and understood. This is an opportunity for you to talk in a safe, supportive and confidential space. You can explore anything that’s on your mind whilst being listened to, free from judgement.

I truly believe that what we are experiencing today is the result of our well-intentioned attempt to make sense of the world as we have experienced it and counselling can help reflect on the patterns in behaviours we have adopted with compassion and empathy to help bring about change.

Practice description

I offer 50 minute sessions at the same time each week and therapy is open ended, meaning we’ll continue to work together until you feel ready to conclude.

I am a registered member of the Â鶹ԭ´´ and am bound by the Â鶹ԭ´´ Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I currently work with adults and incorporate creativity into my practice when this feels appropriate.

I am dedicated to ongoing professional development and regularly attend training on a wide variety of topics to support my counselling practice. I'm committed to inclusivity and equality, and I’m able to work with neurodiversity.

My approach is collaborative; to help you to work out what might make life lighter, less exhausting and feel less stuck.

My first session

I offer a free confidential half hour introductory session to allow potential clients to get a feel of how it would be to work with me. I believe it is useful for anyone looking into counselling to meet with several counsellors to ascertain who is the best fit.

The relationship between counsellor and client is a vital aspect of the work so it is important to find the right counsellor for you.
