About me and my therapy practice
It takes courage to seek support, and I’m glad you’re here.
I am a fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner based in Nottingham, UK, and I work in-person and online. I have experience working with children, young people, and adults and am currently accepting new clients.
I am trained in talk therapy, as well as using creative materials like art, dance/movement, drama and music in the therapy room. Using these resources will always be your choice, and we will work collaboratively to make the therapeutic space work for you. Therapy sessions last 50 minutes, and the number and frequency of sessions can be adapted to suit your needs.
Practice description
I have extensive experience working with children aged 5 and above, as well as with adults across a wide range of concerns. My experience spans various settings, including charities, GP surgeries, schools, and higher education institutions. I can support you with concerns such as anxiety, low mood, identity, relationships, communication, neurodiversity, trauma and issues in schools. In particular, I have worked extensively with clients who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse.
These sessions would focus on the romantic relationship or the parent-child relationship to improve communication, well-being, and safety and aim to create lasting positive change. I also offer couple and dyadic/family (parent and child) sessions. I understand how relationships can go through stages of breakdown and repair, and the impact this has on each person. Compounded by factors of stress, anxiety, and your own challenges, navigating a relationship with your partner can be even more difficult.
My practice is and always will be anti-discriminatory, queer-affirming and trauma-informed. This means that I will always strive to create a space that feels safe to express yourself in, and the work will be based on mutual trust.
If this sounds like the right fit for you, please reach out to book a free 20 minute introduction call.
