About me and my therapy practice
I am a counsellor experienced in supporting adults with trauma, anxiety, stress, anger, and difficulties connected to past or present challenges. My practice is grounded in empathy, warmth, and respect, providing a space where you can feel heard without judgment. I work with an eclectic approach, drawing from different therapeutic models rather than relying on one single method. This allows me to adapt our sessions to your needs — sometimes exploring the roots of past experiences, at other times focusing on practical tools to manage current struggles. My intention is to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and connected in your daily life.
Practice description
Therapy within my practice is a collaborative process, designed to meet you where you are. Many people carry the impact of trauma or difficult experiences without fully recognising it, and this can surface as anxiety, tension in relationships, low self-worth, or a general sense of disconnection. In our sessions, you will have the opportunity to explore what feels too heavy to carry alone, voice the things that have remained unspoken, and gain awareness of patterns that may be shaping your life.
Each session is tailored to your needs, moving at your pace. Sometimes we may work on understanding how the past influences the present; other times, we may focus on developing strategies to help you cope with strong emotions, stress, or conflict in daily life. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can explore, reflect, and begin to build lasting change. Therapy is offered as a space where your experiences are taken seriously, your story matters, and healing can begin.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. We will talk about what feels most important for you right now, and I will answer any questions you may have about the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once — we will go at a pace that feels safe and comfortable. Together, we can begin to identify your goals and the direction you would like therapy to take.
When a first session is scheduled, clients receive an information sheet covering confidentiality, how the process works, fees, and other essential details, along with a consent form confirming these have been explained. In the initial meeting, time is set aside for you to ask any questions about these matters, while also focusing on getting to know one another. In urgent situations, this information is provided at the earliest suitable opportunity. If both you and I agree, the first session can be extended to 50–60 minutes.
