About me and my therapy practice

Hi. I am a friendly and approachable counsellor. I offer in-person and online counselling for adults over 18 with a range of issues including: anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, relationships, families, and also the potential life challenges of neurodivergence such ADHD and Autism. What brought me to counselling is personally knowing the benefits of therapy and the positive impact it can bring to people's lives. I offer a supportive space, where you're free to talk through whatever's on your mind, without pressure or judgment.

My experience includes working for the wonderful Bereavement Support charity: Cruse Bereavement Care and also within counselling and support services within colleges and universities. So I have worked with all age groups and with a variety of issues. I also have in-depth training and experience of supporting people with autism, ADHD and other neurodivergence.

Practice description

I work with a wide range of issues, including (but not exclusively): anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, PTSD, infertility, family, parenting and relationship issues, trauma, self-esteem and confidence issues, childhood difficulties, health issues and navigating the life challenges of neurodivergence such as ADHD and Autism.

Also, I understand that therapy is an investment and am happy to work with you to keep it affordable. This may include not attending every week, so we could agree that you have counselling fortnightly to reduce the monthly cost.

My first session

I appreciate that reaching out for support—especially for the first time—may feel a little daunting, so I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This conversation gives you a chance to get a sense of how I work, ask any questions, and explore what you’re hoping for from counselling.

If, after your free 15 phone minute phone discussion you feel that you'd like us to continue working together and go ahead with the counselling, we can book your first session.

In that first session, I will ask you some questions about yourself and what has brought you to counselling. This will give us a good starting point, and from there we can chat about what kind of support feels right for you moving forward.
