About me and my therapy practice

Hi. I’m a friendly, approachable, and empathetic counsellor based in Rochester, Kent.  I am fully qualified and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´). I offer in-person and remote counselling for people over 18 years old - both short and long term therapy. Life presents us with a wide range of challenges—whether they come in the form of dilemmas, distress, or times of sadness. I offer a calm, supportive space where you’re free to talk through whatever’s on your mind—without pressure or judgment.

Practice description

I work with a wide range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement - including baby loss, PTSD, infertility, family and relationship issues, trauma, domestic abuse, self-esteem and confidence issues, childhood difficulties, health issues and navigating the life challenges of ADHD and Autism. I have both professional and lived experience of neurodivergence and have undertaken specialist training in the field in order to increase my knowledge and understanding.

My first session

I appreciate that reaching out for support—especially for the first time—may feel a little daunting, so I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This conversation gives you a chance to get a sense of how I work, ask any questions, and explore what you’re hoping for from counselling.

If, after your free 15 phone minute phone discussion you feel that you'd like us to continue working together and go ahead with the counselling, we can book your first session.

In that first session, I will ask you some questions about yourself and what has brought you to counselling. This will give us a good starting point, and from there we can chat about what kind of support feels right for you moving forward.

I provide short and long term therapy. I also provide flexibility around frequency of session. For example, you may wish to attend fortnightly rather than weekly - which can be agreed during our first session and/or as we go along as part of our regular reviews of the counselling and how it is going for you.
