About me and my therapy practice
I work from a pluralistic and collaborative approach, meaning I tailor therapy to the unique needs and preferences of each client. I believe that no single approach fits all, so I draw from a range of psychological theories—including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and humanistic models—to support clients in a way that feels meaningful and effective for them.
In our work together, I see therapy as a partnership. You are the expert in your own life, and I bring my professional knowledge and experience to walk alongside you. We will regularly check in on what’s helping, what’s not, and adjust our approach together. Whether you're struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating grief and loss, I aim to create a space that feels safe, non-judgmental, and supportive of your growth.
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, confidential space to explore the challenges you may be facing, whether emotional, relational, or situational. Clients come to me for support with a wide range of issues, including loss and bereavement, addictive behaviours, low self-worth, stress, anxiety, and trauma. I also welcome those who are interested in personal development or seeking meaning and clarity in their lives.
Working pluralistically, I offer a flexible and responsive style of counselling. This means we will explore together what type of support might be most helpful—be it reflective, structured, creative, or insight-based. I integrate approaches from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and humanistic traditions depending on your goals and preferences.
Therapy with me is not about being told what to do. It's a space for collaboration, where we co-create the direction of your sessions. I hold a strong commitment to ethical practice, and I work to build relationships rooted in trust, respect, and openness.
Sessions are offered online via Zoom or by telephone, giving you flexibility and comfort when accessing support.
My first session
Before we begin our work together, I invite potential clients to have an initial assessment call. This is a short conversation where we explore your reasons for seeking therapy, what you're hoping to gain, and whether I am the right fit for your needs. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions you might have about the process.
If we agree to continue, our first full session will include going through our working agreement and GDPR policy, so that you feel informed and clear on what to expect. The remainder of the session will be used to begin gently exploring what has brought you to therapy.
My standard rate applies for the first session, and I aim to ensure that clients feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning.
