About me and my therapy practice
Hello. I'm a counsellor specialising in bereavement and loss as well as supporting people and their families after a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness.
I have worked with many clients with as many different reasons for wanting therapy. My way of working is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever it is you are struggling with. If you've not had counselling before, it might feel strange to talk openly to someone you don't know but it can be very liberating and helpful to express how you are really feeling without fear of being judged. Talking through what is really going on for you, and being heard and validated can be extremely therapeutic. Its my job to offer you a place where you feel OK to do that.
Practice description
I am an experienced person-centred counsellor and clinical supervisor. The focus of my counselling work has been with people who are struggling with bereavement and loss and those who are facing life-limiting conditions, their families and loved ones. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings and charities.
I now work solely in private practice and welcome your enquiry if you would like to make an appointment or learn more about my practice.
My first session
Our first session together would be about finding out if we are a good fit. I would try to gather information to understand what brings you to therapy and hopefully you would get a feel for my way of working and decide if its right for you. If we agree to work together, we would then make a plan around dates and times of sessions.

I am a person-centred counsellor and qualified as a Supervisor in 2018 having completed the CPCAB Level 6 certificate. I am an accredited Â鶹Դ´ member.
The majority of my work as a counsellor has been in healthcare settings, including the NHS and Hospices. I have extensive experience of working with bereavement and loss as well as the impact of life changing conditions on individuals and those close to them.
About me and my therapy practice
My aim in supervision is to offer a supportive and collaborative space to explore the work with your client. I use the Hawkins and Shohet Seven-Eyed model as a basis. This offers different ways to understand the relationship between therapist and client and provides insights and understanding to the work.
Being a therapist can be tough and I firmly believe that supervision is also a restorative process and is an important element of maintaining your wellbeing. Just as in counselling, I would hope to offer a safe relationship to support you.
My first session
Our first session will look at how we might work together - whether we are a good fit, as well as agreeing the beginnings of our contract and what our work together might look like to meet your needs.Types of therapy
