About me and my therapy practice
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in painful or confusing patterns, or disconnected from yourself or your partner, therapy can offer a space to find relief and clarity. I work with individuals and couples who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, and feel a strong desire for change; whether for their own wellbeing or the health of their relationships.
I’m Bukola, a psychotherapist offering a warm, non-judgemental, and supportive space where you can begin to make sense of difficult life and relationship experiences and start to find relief. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside, yet struggle privately with anxiety, low self-esteem, addiction, relationship distress, or a sense of emptiness - if this is you, I can help.
In our work together, I help you develop a clearer perspective on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and how these may be shaped by earlier experiences, deeply held beliefs, unconscious patterns and unmet needs. I place particular importance on the therapeutic relationship, which research consistently shows is one of the strongest drivers for meaningful change in therapy. My aim is for you to feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported throughout our work.
Practice description
My approach balances psychology with practical application and may include creative techniques when words alone feel limiting. I also integrate an understanding of the body and nervous system, helping you to recognise emotional and physiological triggers and how to respond to them more effectively with practical strategies. Over time, this work creates a stronger sense of connection, both with yourself and those you care about. From my experience, clients also discover they have more mental and emotional capacity, as well as the kind of clarity that helps them make more effective life decisions.
Clients often share that working with me has helped them regulate their emotions more effectively, leading to meaningful improvements in their lives and relationships. As a result, they report feeling calmer, more empowered, and better equipped to navigate life’s uncertainties.
Sessions are individually tailored, and my practice is inclusive and respectful of neurodiversity, sexual orientation, culture, religion, and spirituality.
