About me and my therapy practice
Hello, welcome, and well done for taking the first step in supporting your wellbeing. If you are feeling anxious, stressed and overwhelmed, you are in the right place.
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Professional Certified Coach. As such, my service differs slightly to the traditional counselling approach in that I offer a blend of counselling and coaching, enabling you to firstly navigate the root causes of challenges that are preventing you from moving forwards, followed by the creation of an action plan to support your progress.
I adhere to the Âé¶¹Ô´´, NCPS and ICF ethical frameworks.
Practice description
I primarily partner with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, low self-esteem and general lack of purpose - those seeking to create a more fulfilling and meaningful life, which may include life/career transitions.
The way in which our work evolves is driven by you, and I am your guide, your listening partner, your cheerleader. I will ask questions and offer tools and techniques to assist you in identifying detrimental thoughts and behaviour patterns, help you see things from different perspectives and support you in navigating challenges, to enable you to move forwards.
How this looks for you will depend on your individual circumstances. I do not work on a ‘one-size-fits-all’ basis - together we would agree on a tailored approach suited to your unique self.
It goes without saying that our conversations are confidential and non-judgemental. My approach is calm, empathic, and gently challenging where appropriate.
My first session
Please get in touch for a free, no obligation introductory call. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little and for you to share your current circumstances and what changes you would like to make in your life, personally and/or professionally. I will ask you some initial questions to build context, and this is also an opportunity for you to ask questions to assist your decision in committing to ongoing sessions.
I initially encourage you to invest in 6 sessions. Some challenges may take longer to work through and we would agree between us on whether you require longer-term support.
