About me and my therapy practice

Relationships, while essential to our well-being, can also be sources of stress and confusion. If you find yourself caught in unhelpful patterns or avoiding difficult conversations, counselling can provide a new perspective. It offers a space where both partners can engage more openly, resolve conflicts, and create lasting positive changes.

For those seeking individual therapy, it is an opportunity to explore emotional challenges and gain insight into the obstacles preventing happiness and fulfilment. Whether facing anxiety, depression, grief, or simply looking for clarity in life, therapy offers a confidential, supportive environment where emotions, behaviours, and experiences can be better understood. It’s not necessary to be in crisis to benefit from therapy; anyone looking to grow, heal, or gain deeper self-awareness can find it valuable.

Using an integrative approach that combines systemic and psychodynamic theory, the focus is both on addressing immediate concerns and uncovering long-term patterns or unresolved issues. This process allows for a deeper understanding of current circumstances and behaviours, often linked to past experiences. By revisiting these experiences in a safe and supportive setting, individuals can redefine their relationships with their history and move forward with greater purpose.

As a qualified and experiened counsellor (MÂ鶹ԭ´´), I offer a warm, non-judgmental environment where adults from diverse backgrounds can explore their personal challenges and develop meaningful, lasting coping strategies. Specialised experience includes working with neurodiverse individuals, particularly those on the autism spectrum, ensuring that every client feels understood and supported.

Practice description

I work in central Cambridge offering both online and face to face sessions.

I offer a warm, inclusive, safe and non-judgemental space in which we can work together to explore whatever you choose to bring to our sessions.

Sessions last for 50 minutes.

Parking is available.

My first session

I offer an initial, online 30 minute assessment in which we can get to know each other a little and see if we feel we would be well suited to work together.

I will ask you to tell me a little bit about yourself, your reasons for coming to counselling and what you hope to achieve from our sessions. I will tell you a little more about how I work, and offer you the opportunity to ask questions you might have about the counselling process, and voice any anxiety or concerns.

There is no pressure or expectation to continue beyond this initial session if you feel counselling is not for you at this time.
