About me and my therapy practice

I hold a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling. I work with various therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic, Humanistic, CBT and Transpersonal Psychology. This enables me to tailor therapy to meet your unique needs, whether you are seeking support as an individual or a couple. We will work together at a pace that feels right for you.

I aim to provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, seen and understood. I work alongside you with empathy. The essence of my work is to offer gentle challenges and practical tools that you can use beyond our sessions to support your continuous growth.

Healing does not stop when our time together concludes – I am committed to helping you develop strategies for managing life’s difficult moments.

I gained valuable experience during my clinical training as a counsellor with organisations such as Mind (part of NHS Talking Therapies) and Safer Places, supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse. In these roles, I worked with clients facing a wide range of issues and challenges. I now work in private practice as Mind and Soul Counselling, where I continue to offer inclusive, compassionate support tailored to individuals and couples.

I am particularly passionate about supporting clients experiencing narcissistic abuse and domestic abuse. My work also extends to issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, bereavement, low self-esteem and negative childhood experiences. Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, but I am here to support you with care as we work towards emotional well-being.

For those exploring spiritual, religious or cultural aspects of life, I incorporate Transpersonal Psychology to support a deeper connection and meaning of life.

All backgrounds and genders welcome. I am committed to creating a space where you are respected and valued. Together, we will overcome barriers and work towards emotional and personal growth because you matter!

Practice description

Are life experiences overwhelming? Is facing these challenges daunting?

Let's work together through any difficulties you have, whether related to past trauma, present stress or future uncertainty.

I offer a Humanistic approach, where you can feel truly heard, accepted and valued – you are worthy! I will help you explore your feelings in a way that fosters deeper self-understanding, especially when dealing with low self-esteem, anxiety or depression. You can connect with your inner strength and promote personal growth in a safe space, where you can begin to heal.

With Psychodynamics, we can explore how past experiences may still influence your present. Maybe childhood issues, PTSD, domestic abuse, bereavement, working through these can achieve healing.

CBT can help challenge negative thought patterns that impact you. This approach is especially effective for managing stress, OCD, anxiety and depression. Equipping you with practical tools can create continuous change and progress.

Are you exploring deeper meaning in life? Transpersonal Psychology can help you find spiritual or cultural connection and insight, offering clarity.

Incorporating Solution-Focused Therapy, I will help you focus on your strengths, find practical solutions and set achievable goals for the future. We will explore ways to move forward and empower positive change.

Throughout sessions, I will introduce mindfulness techniques and emotional regulation tools to help you stay grounded and resilient, especially when facing trauma or anxiety. This enhances well-being during our sessions and beyond therapy, empowering continuous growth.

I am committed to Continuous Professional Development, ensuring that I remain informed and up to date with the latest therapeutic techniques and research, to support your healing.

My integrative approach is applied to your specific needs. This is your journey. We will walk together, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

My first session

To ensure you are comfortable with the therapeutic process, I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call before booking your first session. This call is relaxed and pressure-free. This is an opportunity to ask any questions and get a feel for whether I am the right counsellor for you. If you are attending as a couple, this is a great chance for both of you to share your goals and ensure you feel comfortable moving forward.

If we decide to continue, we will schedule a time that works for you. In our first full session, we will begin exploring what has brought you to therapy. Whether you’re working toward specific goals or simply need space to process emotions and experiences, our sessions will be tailored to meet your unique needs.

For individuals, therapy may focus on:

  • Trauma, anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem
  • PTSD, OCD, or childhood issues
  • Bereavement, overwhelming emotions or relationship difficulties
  • The impact of domestic or narcissistic abuse

For couples, therapy can help with:

  • Communication breakdowns
  • Recurring conflict
  • Feeling emotionally disconnected
  • Navigating major life changes or transitions

For couples, I create a balanced, non-judgmental space where both partners can feel heard and supported. Together, we will work towards strengthening communication, understanding and connection.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Whether you’re seeking help for yourself or your relationship, we can take the first step together toward emotional well-being and deeper connection.
