Availability
I am an integrative counsellor working in central Maidstone and Teston, supporting adults and teens aged 15+. I welcome LGBTQIA+ clients and neurodivergent clients and offer in-person and online sessions with current availability. My central Maidstone room is close to public transport with free local parking nearby, and my Teston room provides a quieter setting with free parking directly outside. Both spaces are private, comfortable, and suitable for focused therapeutic work.
My practice is inclusive. I value differences and treat every client with equal respect. Inclusion means active effort. I listen, consider your feelings, and welcome your identity and lived experience without asking you to fit a single norm. My aim is to build a space where you feel accepted and able to talk openly.
I work Monday to Friday with daytime and some evening appointments. Sessions last 50 minutes and normally take place weekly, though we can adjust the pace to meet your needs. Online sessions are available if you prefer remote counselling or need flexibility around work, study, or family commitments.
If you would like to speak to someone straight away, you can call my secretary between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The number is on my website. If you contact me directly, please include your phone number so I can respond. I usually reply within 48 hours.
If I take planned time away from practice, I let clients know in advance so we can agree how to manage sessions around any break. If you want to check availability or ask any questions about starting counselling, please get in touch using the contact options on this page.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor working in two locations: central Maidstone and Teston, just outside Maidstone. Both therapy rooms are private, calm, and suitable for focused therapeutic work. Central Maidstone has free local parking nearby and public transport links. Teston offers a quieter space with free parking directly outside. I also offer online counselling for clients who prefer remote sessions or need flexibility around work, study, or family responsibilities.
I support adults and teens aged 15 and over. I help with anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, relationship issues, identity questions, and the emotional effects of difficult life events. I welcome LGBTQIA+ clients. I welcome neurodivergent clients. As a neurodiverse practitioner myself, I understand the value of accepting differences and working in a way that feels comfortable for each individual. Inclusion guides my practice. I accept each client as they are, listen without judgement, and value your lived experience.
My integrative approach brings together Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed work. This allows us to adapt the sessions based on what helps you most. Some clients want practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, and intrusive thoughts. Others want to explore deeper patterns, understand emotions, or make sense of past experiences. We discuss what you want from counselling and move at a pace that feels right for you.
My aim is to help you gain clarity, emotional steadiness, and confidence. I support you in understanding your experiences, recognising your strengths, and making changes that feel manageable and meaningful. Counselling can help you feel more grounded, more capable, and more connected to your own needs and values. I am committed to providing a reliable, respectful therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to speak openly.
Practice description
My practice offers a steady, confidential space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life. I work from two private rooms in Maidstone: one in the centre of town with free local parking and easy public transport links, and another in Teston with free parking outside and a quieter, more rural setting. You are welcome to choose the location that feels most comfortable for you. I also offer online counselling for clients who prefer remote support or need flexibility.
I work with adults and teens aged 15 and over who want support with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, identity concerns, relationship problems, loss, or general feelings of overwhelm. Many clients come to me when they feel stuck or unsettled. Others want help making sense of past experiences, building confidence, or managing day-to-day challenges. I welcome LGBTQIA+ clients. I welcome neurodivergent clients. My practice is inclusive and centred on respect, acceptance, and understanding.
My approach is integrative, combining Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and trauma-informed work. This mix gives us the flexibility to focus on your emotions, thoughts, behaviour patterns, and past experiences, depending on what you need. Sessions might involve exploring triggers, building coping strategies, learning grounding techniques, understanding relationship patterns, or improving communication and emotional awareness.
Counselling is collaborative. We decide together what direction the work should take. You do not need to arrive with clear goals; sometimes the first step is simply talking through what you are carrying. I provide a steady and grounded presence so you have space to reflect, understand yourself more clearly, and explore new ways of responding to difficult situations. My aim is for you to feel supported, respected, and able to be yourself without pressure or judgement.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity to talk about what brings you to counselling and what you hope to change or understand. You can choose to meet in my central Maidstone room, my Teston room, or online. Central Maidstone has free local parking. Teston offers free parking outside and a quieter location. Both rooms provide privacy and a calm atmosphere.
In the first session, I ask some gentle questions to help me understand your current situation, how you have been feeling, and what you would like support with. You choose the pace. You choose how much you want to share. Many clients use this session to talk through what has been most difficult recently, or to explore what they want from counselling. Others use the time to get a feel for the process and see whether my approach is right for them.
We also discuss how we might work together. This can include the structure of sessions, your preferred pace, any goals you may have, and what type of support you feel you need. We talk about my integrative approach and how it can be adapted to suit you. You are welcome to ask questions at any point.
If you want to speak to someone immediately, you can call my secretary between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The number is available on my website. If you contact me directly, please include your phone number so I can get back to you. I usually reply within 48 hours.
I charge the same fee for the first session as for all ongoing sessions. There is no pressure to commit straight away. The aim of the first session is for you to gain a clear sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me, and to help us understand what you need from counselling.
