I offer in-person sessions Monday to Thursday mornings (up until 13:30), and online sessions Monday to Friday at flexible times.
About me and my therapy practice
We often hold misconceptions about who might seek therapy, imagining a certain type of person. However, the truth is that any of us can encounter challenges that are hard to navigate. My approach focuses on supporting people through low mood, anxiety, or times when life feels particularly challenging or uncertain. I offer a space where we can begin to untangle your thoughts and make sense of whatever feels heavy, confusing, or hard to express. Together, we can look at what you’re carrying and work towards the changes that feel important to you.
The challenges we face might stem from our own vulnerabilities, a painful or confusing relationship, or the illness or loss of a loved one. Anger or depression may grip us, or we might find ourselves overwhelmed by anxiety and stress. Making space to explore what’s been affecting your mood, your relationships and your day-to-day life can be hugely beneficial in helping you feel more in tune with yourself and more connected to the people who matter to you.
If you are considering counselling, I’d be glad to hear from you. You’re welcome to get in touch to book a session, or just to have a free 10-15 minute phone call to talk through any questions or concerns you may have.
Practice description
I use an integrative approach, meaning that I draw from various therapeutic models to tailor my approach to your needs. At the heart of my practice is the Person-Centred Approach, placing you at the core of the therapeutic process. This means our work together is led by your needs, and centred around what feels most important to you.
My first session
Our first session can focus on creating an understanding as to what you would like to gain from counselling, and how we can work together to create a space that feels right for you. I’ll invite you to share what’s brought you here, but there’s no pressure to open up more than you feel comfortable with.
This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a feel for whether my approach aligns with what you’re looking for. Most importantly, it’s about ensuring you feel heard, understood and at ease in our initial session together.
