About me and my therapy practice
Welcome.
Is work draining you and your home life leaving you feeling on edge. If you feel stuck between racing thoughts and feeling shut down, it can feel like you are always braced for the next thing and unable to switch off. Crowds, queues and notifications add up, and even simple plans start to feel hard to face. If you are losing sight of what you need, I can help you reconnect to what matters most in your life.
Perhaps your sleep is unsettled, motivation is low, and your mind keeps up a noisy, relentless commentary that is hard to switch off. Relationships can start to feel like hard work as you try to read what people want, meeting everyone else鈥檚 expectations while your own needs slide to the bottom of the list. When life piles up like this, it can settle over you like a heavy cloud that dulls the things you used to enjoy and makes the day feel slow and effortful. You might notice yourself getting snappy and then slipping into death scrolling late at night, drifting from people and feeling unsure what you feel or why. Even simple tasks can begin to feel like too much.
Email or message me to arrange a free consultation.
Specialist interests
I work across a wide range of issues. My specialist interests include:
Autism
ADHD
Men鈥檚 mental health
Complex post-traumatic stress (CPTSD) and trauma
Recovery from abuse
Addiction recovery
These areas are often misunderstood or minimised in services, workplaces and sometimes even within families and friendships. If your experience does not fit a neat box, you are still welcome. What you are going through matters, and you will be met with understanding, not judgement.

Practice description
Dom鈥檚 Therapeutic Counselling.
I am a qualified M麻豆原创 psychotherapist, and my path into this work began with my own healing. I grew up close to mental health difficulties and saw first hand the damage that judgement and silence can do. Before training I worked as a construction foreman, alongside men facing real struggles. Since qualifying, I have supported clients from many backgrounds in private practice, at a local college with young adults who have autism and ADHD, and through Victim Support with people who have witnessed trauma or lost someone because of it. These valuable roles have deepened my skills and knowledge. They have taught me to be flexible and responsive to each person鈥檚 unique needs, to adapt the pace, to use plain language and to offer practical steps that fit real life.
Give yourself an hour a week to reset and reflect. Therapy is a safe place to understand your pain, restore balance and strengthen how you cope. Getting support does not have to be scary, embarrassing or hard to keep up with. We work at your pace and in plain language. Sessions are tailored to you with approaches that fit your needs. You leave with a simple step to try between sessions, so change feels steady, doable and part of everyday life.
Clients often tell me that, when the heaviness has been their normal for a while, therapy helps them stop trying to please everyone else and start tuning back in to what they really need. Over time, they notice themselves saying no to what does not feel right, resting when they are tired instead of pushing through, and speaking up when something is unfair. As trust in themselves grows, their days feel steadier, the noise turns down, and life becomes more manageable.
I am an M麻豆原创 psychotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work within an integrative model, drawing from Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic ideas, and I tailor each session to your needs.
