About me and my therapy practice
Hi, and welcome to my profile. My name is Fareen, and I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor. My aim is to help you to take ownership of your life choices so that you can create the life you want to live.
You might be feeling dissatisfied with your quality of life, unsure of what path you wish to take, or stuck in repeating patterns of behaving that no longer serve you. Perhaps you are going through a difficult event and unsure of what to do about it. Together, we can explore and make meaning of what truly feels important to you so that you can take the steps you need to move towards a more fruitful way of living.
Practice description
My therapeutic approach is integrative, which means that I draw upon elements from a range of psychological theories. This flexibility means we can adapt our work together based on what feels most useful for you, helping you to gain insights, build coping skills and work towards your personal goals.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation where you can ask me any questions you might have about therapy with me and share what you hope to get out of it.
If you feel that I am the right match for you, we can then proceed to have our first session, also known as an initial assessment. This is an opportunity for us to meet and begin to get a sense of how we might work together. We will also explore some of the issues you wish to bring and what can be offered through therapy to help support and facilitate your current needs.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi and welcome to my profile—I’m glad you’ve found your way here. My name is Fareen, and I’m a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor. My goal is to support you in taking ownership of your choices so you can build the life you truly want to live.
You might be feeling unsettled with where you are in life—overwhelmed by too many options and unsure where to begin—or simply looking for a space to be heard and understood. Whatever brings you to therapy, I’m here to support you and help you find the next steps that feel right and meaningful for you.
Practice description
My therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of psychological theories—including CBT, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Gestalt—depending on what feels most helpful for you. This flexible way of working allows us to tailor our sessions to your unique needs, whether that's building coping skills, gaining insight, or working towards personal goals.
I also work relationally, which means we pay attention to how you feel, react, and relate during our sessions. Often, the patterns that show up in the therapy room can reflect those in your life outside of it. By gently exploring these together, we can begin to understand where they come from, how they might be helping or holding you back, and what might need to shift. This process can lead to greater self-awareness and support you in making more conscious, empowered choices in your relationships and daily life.
I work one-on-one with individuals from a wide range of ages, genders, races, socioeconomic statuses, and diverse backgrounds in a confidential setting. I understand and deeply believe in the power of being truly seen for who we are. With compassion, understanding, intelligence, and warmth, I support your exploration of your unique experiences and circumstances.
My first session
You're warmly invited to a free 15-minute consultation—a chance for you to ask any questions about how I work, and to share what you're hoping to gain from therapy. It's a relaxed space to see if it feels like a good fit for you.
If you feel that I’m a good fit for you, we can move forward with our first session, called an initial assessment. This is a chance for us to meet, get to know each other, and start to understand how we might work together. During this session, we’ll also explore the concerns you want to address and discuss how therapy can support your current needs.

You might be feeling unsettled, anxious, or overwhelmed about where you are in life—unsure where to start amid so many options—or perhaps you’re experiencing periods of low mood and just need a safe, supportive space to be heard and understood. Whatever brings you to therapy, I’m here to support you and help you find the next steps that feel right and meaningful for you.
I have worked in challenging and high-pressure settings, including the humanitarian aid sector, where I’ve seen how this kind of work can deeply affect your emotional wellbeing. It’s common to feel troubled by difficult choices, carry the weight of others’ pain, or be deeply impacted by overwhelming experiences.
I also know how balancing work, family, and relationships can feel overwhelming. I’m here to support you in managing these pressures and finding a balance that feels authentic and caring.
