About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome.

Life is precious, and at times, a real challenge. Heartbreak, grief, uncertainty, lack of confidence and self-belief, despair - it can be difficult to know what to do or how to deal with certain ordeals. It can be frustrating to find ourselves in the same loophole, wondering 鈥渨hen will this end?鈥. To put it simply, being human is messy, and if this is where you are, I welcome you to Point in Time Counseling.

I believe that throughout our lives, there are many points in time where we find ourselves stuck, or in a pit, unsure of what to do or who to turn to. My commitment is to help you out of that pit and support you in finding your own footing again.

Practice description

What does therapy with me look like?

Much like the world we live in, therapy with me is real. It is nurturing, kind, and hopeful, and it is honest, challenging and courageous. There is no 鈥榪uick fix鈥, nor 鈥榓nswer sheet鈥, but a dedication from me to guide and support you through the process - you do not have to do this alone.

I invite you to a space that empowers you to be you. I take a holistic and rational approach, looking at and incorporating the mind, body, soul and spirit - whatever that means to you. This allows us to look at you as a whole being - made up of different parts, with different voices and needs. Together we can explore whether these parts co-exist in harmony, what you feel drawn towards and inspired by, and what you want to free yourself from. In our exploration, I encourage you to move from shame and criticism and meet yourself with curiosity and compassion.

The aim is for you to feel lighter in your step, with a new found sense of joy that you carry with you in your day-to-day. Point in Time Counseling is about helping you to feel grounded in who you are and where you belong, so that you can finally live the life that you鈥檝e always wanted.

I take an integrative therapeutic approach which means that I draw upon a range of psychological theories, such as Person-centred, Psychodynamic and Gestalt. I hold the quality of the therapeutic relationship as central to our work, attending to what emerges in the here and now and how this can support positive change.

My first session

You鈥檙e welcome to book a free 15-minute consultation - a relaxed chance to ask questions, share what you鈥檙e hoping for, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

If it does, we can arrange an initial session where we begin to explore what鈥檚 been going on for you and how therapy might support you moving forward.
