About me and my therapy practice

If you are feeling overwhelmed by stress, caught in overthinking and anxiety, or feeling a sense of ‘what’s the point’, you do not have to do this alone. In counselling, when two people connect, there is the very real possibility of change.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore together your challenges and inner conflicts. Once you feel safe enough to voice what may have been left unsaid in other areas of your life, you can begin to find clarity and insight. In our sessions, what is happening for you right now is what matters. Together, we will look at what is driving your stress, explore the emotions underneath, and help you find your clarity.

While I work with anxiety, stress, and life transitions, I have a background in supporting clients with coping strategies that have become outdated, relationship struggles, and navigating overwhelming feelings. Whatever you bring to your session will be met with warmth and acceptance. And, who knows, you may even find yourself smiling now and again! All is not lost.

I work completely online, offering you the comfort of therapy from your own space. Sessions are typically one hour per week, but this is entirely flexible to meet your needs.

Taking the first step can feel rather overwhelming, but I am here to make it simple. Please contact me via email or phone. If you leave a message, I will get back to you promptly so we can arrange an initial meeting and see how we can work together.

Practice description

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist.

Before establishing my private practice, I worked as a counsellor in colleges and recovery centres. I currently provide counselling for Red Rose Recovery, Kendal College, and Physicians Anonymous—a peer-support network for doctors facing burnout, stress, and related challenges.

My approach is person-centred and informed by EFT and motivational interviewing.

• Motivation for change: Using a collaborative, goal-oriented style, we’ll work together to uncover the reasons for change that seem most pertinent to you.

• Understanding the root: We will explore your experiences in the present. You are the expert of your own inner life but I can help you to become more aware of your process.

• I walk beside you and that means we go at your own pace. You can expect to be met with respect, empathy and authenticity. Research shows that the relationship between client and counsellor is key. What happens between us will inform our work.
