About me and my therapy practice

As an experienced trauma-informed counsellor, I will trust your inner capacity for healing, growth, and self-understanding. I offer a space where all parts of you are warmly welcomed, without pressure or judgement.

I am passionate about supporting people to reconnect with their sense of self, agency, and inner strength, and I will hold that possibility throughout our work together.

My work is grounded in a person-centred approach, meaning our sessions are guided by your individual needs, experiences, and what feels most meaningful to you. Where helpful, I may also integrate other therapeutic approaches collaboratively to support the work we do together.

Practice description

Taking the first step towards counselling or psychotherapy can feel daunting, but it is also an act of courage.

Perhaps you are currently experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, self-doubt, loss, overwhelm, trauma, emotional exhaustion, disconnection, or a sense that life has lost meaning, or something else personal and difficult to carry alone.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, sensitive individuals who have spent a long time managing things by themselves. Often, reaching out can feel difficult, perhaps not wanting to burden friends or family, or because the difficulties themselves involve those closest to you.

Both personally and professionally, I have experienced how powerful therapy can be. Speaking with a professional who can receive your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgement can be deeply supportive and transformative.

My first session

Some clients prefer to have an introductory call first to take time to decide if they feel comfortable, others book straight away.

In the first session, we will take the time to go through a necessary contract to outline the boundaries of the working relationship. I may also ask you to complete a brief initial details form where I collect necessary contact details and medical history.

Depending on the situation a further assessment may be required to ensure that I can give you the support you may need.
