About me and my therapy practice
I am a Â鶹Դ´-registered integrative counsellor offering therapy with a particular focus on lives shaped by social and political complexity, institutional pressure, and varied forms of abuse.
My background spans journalism, international development, and political and social theory. These experiences continue to inform my sensitivity to voice, survival, power, and the ways people adapt under conditions of uncertainty or threat.
I hold a PhD in political and social theory and have taught at Loughborough University, the University of Nottingham and Birkbeck, University of London. Alongside my clinical work, I have published research on trauma, coercive control and exploitation.
My approach is integrative and relational, drawing on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy, attachment-based and existential approaches. I am especially mindful of those whose experiences may not fit easily within conventional therapeutic narratives, including people affected by institutional harm, abuse and injustice.
If you would like to explore working together, you are very welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation. Rates are negotiable and dependent on personal circumstances.
I currently offer sessions online, with face-to-face therapy in development.
