About me and my therapy practice

If you’re going through a challenging time I offer a safe space to be heard and supported. I specialise in supporting people with chronic illness and life changes, and have experience counselling a range of issues including bereavement, stress, anxiety, anger, depression, abuse, low mood, relationship or family issues.

I understand that every experience is individual & unique. If you’re going through a tough time taking that first step can be hard, but when you’re ready, I’m here to support without judgment. 

Practice description

I am a qualified person centred counsellor, using a trauma informed approach, offering: 

  • Face to face counselling at a room between Selby and York (Wheldrake) which is accessible off the A19 with free parking. 
  • Online counselling to anywhere in the UK via teams, ideal for fitting around busy lives.

You can expect a warm, relaxed, non-judgemental space to share what is on your mind. 

My background is over 20 years working within the charity sector advocating for adults and families affected by chronic illness. I  have offered counselling support at a well-known Mental Health charity, with Higher Education students and at a NHS GP Medical group. I also work alongside local and national charities supporting adults affected by sexual violence.
