About me and my therapy practice
I work in a relational way, which means I pay close attention to how you experience your emotions, relationships, and our therapeutic connection. This helps us build a space that feels safe, supportive, and responsive to your pace and needs.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I draw on different models to suit your unique needs. These include person-centred therapy, which offers a warm, non-judgemental space for you to explore what matters to you; cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which looks at how your thoughts and behaviours might be shaping your experiences; and psychodynamic therapy, which helps uncover how early experiences and unconscious patterns may still be shaping how you relate to yourself and others today. Together, we’ll focus on what feels most relevant and helpful for you in the moment.
My approach is compassionate but focused. I want therapy to feel like a place where you’re not only heard, but also supported to make meaningful changes. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and non-judgemental, and say they feel more confident, clearer, and better equipped to move forward after our work together.
I support people with diverse lived experiences, perspectives, and life stories. I’m committed to creating a space that feels respectful, inclusive, and thoughtfully attuned to the many cultural, relational, and personal layers that shape who you are. I recognise that no two journeys are the same, and I approach each person with openness, curiosity, and care.
Practice description
Clients often come to me when they’re feeling stuck in painful relationship dynamics, whether that’s repeating patterns in romantic relationships, difficulty with boundaries, low self-worth, or the lingering impact of heartbreak. These experiences can feel overwhelming, confusing, and hard to shift alone. In our work together, I offer a space that’s warm, steady, and supportive, where we can gently explore what’s going on underneath, and work towards clarity, confidence, and more fulfilling connections.
Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface to help you understand your needs, strengthen your sense of self, and develop practical ways to move forward. Depending on what feels most helpful, we might reflect on past experiences, notice emotional patterns, or focus on present-day challenges like boundaries, decision-making, or self-doubt.
Some clients come during key life transitions, such as becoming a parent, experiencing grief, or managing work-related stress. Others are seeking to better understand deeper themes, like people-pleasing, cultural identity, or a disconnection from their sense of purpose.
Wherever you’re starting from, we’ll go at your pace. You don’t have to have it all figured out, just bring yourself.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can meet briefly, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore whether working together feels right. You don’t need to prepare anything, just bring whatever is on your mind, and any questions you have.
If we decide to proceed, we’ll arrange your first full 50-minute session. In that session, we’ll spend time understanding your background, exploring your goals, and getting a feel for what will be most helpful. This helps us set the tone and direction for future work together.
We’ll also go over practical details like session timing, confidentiality, and how online therapy works. This first session is a chance for us both to get a sense of the pace and style that suits you, and to make sure you feel comfortable, supported, and informed from the very beginning.
