About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Vincent. I'm a gay counsellor offering LGBTQ+-affirmative therapy for LGBTQIA+ people, as well as their families, friends and allies. I also welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities.
You may be experiencing anxiety or low mood, relationship difficulties, questions around sexuality or identity, or feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure about what you want. Whatever has brought you to counselling, this is a space where you can explore what’s going on for you without judgement or pressure.
I believe we all have the capacity for growth and change, especially when we feel heard, accepted and understood. My role is to offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences openly and discover what feels right for you.
As a person-centred counsellor, I won’t tell you what you should do or decide what we need to talk about. We’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on what matters to you.
If you'd like to see whether we're a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation where you can ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together.
Practice description
I’m a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´ (MÂ鶹Դ´) and a qualified person-centred counsellor. My approach is client-led, so our sessions will be guided by what feels most relevant to you.
Our sessions are a space to talk openly about what’s happening in your life, make sense of your thoughts and feelings, and develop a greater understanding of yourself and your experiences.
I've worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, ages, sexual orientations and gender identities. My experience also includes working within a community counselling service and a low-cost online counselling service specialising in addiction and recovery.
My continuing professional development has included training in LGBTQIA+-affirmative practice, gender identity, working with anger, substance misuse, anti-fat bias and suicide prevention.
I offer 50-minute sessions online via Zoom (£80) and face-to-face (£100).
My first session
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling. There’s no pressure to tell me everything at once or to know exactly what you want to talk about.
You may have a clear idea of what you’d like to explore, or you may just know that something doesn’t feel right. Either is absolutely fine. There’s no right way to begin, and you don’t need to have everything worked out before you come.
You can ask me questions too, and the first session gives us a chance to start getting to know each other.
Types of therapy
Humanistic, Person centred
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Organisations, Trainees
How I deliver therapy
Long term sessions, Long-term face-to-face work, Online therapy, Short term sessions, Short-term face-to-face work, Telephone therapy
