About me and my therapy practice

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming—like standing in a fog, unsure which way to turn. Many of us face pressures that leave us feeling lost, uncertain of who we are or where we’re headed. Our experiences—and how we respond to them—are deeply personal, which can sometimes leave us feeling unheard, isolated, or stuck.

In moments like these, it can help to have someone alongside you—someone who listens deeply, without judgment, and supports you in making sense of your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

I’m an Integrative Therapist, which means I work holistically—drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to best support your unique needs. My style is empathic, warm, and grounded in creating a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel heard and understood.

At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing happens in connection, and I’m passionate about working collaboratively with you to foster growth, self-awareness, and meaningful change.

I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, substance misuse, stress, trauma, abuse, relationship difficulties, and grief. I also work with loss and bereavement, drawing on my time as a Bereavement Counsellor in a hospice setting.

My background includes counselling in a community mental health setting and working within Children’s Services as a Therapeutic Parenting Practitioner, where I specialised in supporting adolescents and teenagers. These roles have deepened my understanding of family dynamics, developmental needs, and the importance of relational safety—especially during times of emotional upheaval.

Practice description

I work closely with psychodynamic theory, exploring how early attachment experiences and past relationships may be shaping your present. I also focus on the mind-body connection in healing, and often draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support you in understanding the internal parts of yourself—especially those that may be in conflict or holding you back.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, or relational challenges, I’ll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your pace and autonomy. Depending on your preferences, I may also integrate creative tools—such as art, music, metaphor, or somatic grounding techniques—to help bring emotional experiences into focus.

I’m a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´) and abide by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

My first session

Introductory call

Taking the first step toward counselling can feel daunting, but you're not alone. I offer a free 20-minute consultation by telephone or online, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether I’m the right therapist for you.

This initial conversation is a chance for us to connect and explore how we might work together going forward. There’s no pressure—just a gentle space to begin.

Your First Session

Our first full session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other more deeply.

We’ll spend some time exploring what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain.

Part of the session will include an assessment to help me understand your needs and tailor our work together. I’ll be guided by you throughout, ensuring the pace feels safe, respectful, and comfortable.
