About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome
There are times in life when things feel unusually heavy—when stress, anxiety, sadness, relationship difficulties or major life changes make it hard to move forward. You might be coping with the aftermath of a breakup or divorce, feeling stuck in your work or family relationships, or maybe you are managing the impact of painful experiences from earlier in life.
Therapy can help ease this load. In my South West London practice, I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where we can explore what is going on for you in the present as well as past experiences. My approach is thoughtful and empathetic, with a focus on identifying the deep-rooted emotional patterns that influence how we think and feel about ourselves and the world around us.
This work can be challenging, but also deeply meaningful. At its centre is a trusting, collaborative and supportive relationship, which in turn enables insight and change to emerge over time.
I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Birkbeck, University of London, and have clinical experience in the NHS, working with adults facing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Before training as a therapist, I held leadership roles in both the corporate and NGO sectors, and I also hold an MSc in Sociology from Oxford University.
Practice description
I offer weekly, face-to-face therapy from my practice in Putney — a comfortable, confidential setting with easy access to public transport.
If you are considering therapy and would like to explore working together, I invite you to get in touch to arrange an initial phone conversation.
My first session
Our first step is a free 15-minute phone call to discuss what you're looking for from therapy and whether it feels like a good fit. If we decide to go ahead, we’ll arrange a regular 50-minute weekly session at an agreed time.
Therapy typically lasts around 12 months, but shorter-term work is also possible and can be discussed based on your needs.
