About me and my therapy practice

Do you ever find yourself creating scenarios in your mind that feel so real your whole body and being believes they're true?

Perhaps you spend hours replaying conversations, imagining worst-case outcomes, or fighting battles that haven't happened. Your mind is constantly trying to keep you safe, yet it leaves you feeling exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed and disconnected from yourself.

If this sounds familiar, I want you to know that there is nothing "wrong" with you.

Our minds are incredibly creative. Sometimes, after difficult life experiences, that creativity becomes focused on survival. It can become stuck in patterns of hypervigilance, overthinking, self-criticism or imagining danger before it arrives. It makes sense that you're tired when your nervous system has been working so hard for so long.

Therapy isn't about getting rid of your emotions or silencing your thoughts. It's about understanding where these patterns came from, developing compassion for the parts of you that have been trying to protect you, and helping you reconnect with your confidence, creativity and sense of self.

Imagine using that same powerful mind and misdirected creativity not simply to survive, but to build the life you want.

Practice description

As an integrative counsellor with a foundation in psychodynamic practice, I work in a relational, trauma-informed way, helping clients understand how earlier experiences can continue to influence thoughts, emotions and relationships today. Together we can gently explore these patterns, making sense of them rather than fighting against them, so they no longer have to control your life.

I have over ten years' experience working with socially disadvantaged young people in supported housing, alongside experience within NHS Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT), charities and private practice. Working with people from many different backgrounds has reinforced my belief that healing and safety begins when we feel genuinely understood and accepted.

I particularly welcome adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, chronic stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, or the lasting effects of difficult childhood experiences. Whether you're feeling stuck in survival mode, struggling with overthinking, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect and move forward.

I currently offer online counselling for adults across the UK and provide a free introductory phone call so we can explore whether we're the right fit for each other.

Alongside my therapy practice, I am developing a therapeutic community for young people in South London, creating an affordable, compassionate and healing space for 18–25-year-olds who may be looking for support, connection and personal growth. If this resonates with you, and you want to be involved in this creation instead or as well as your own therapy, I'd love to hear from you too.
