About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor with an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, University of London.

I have experience working with a range of people and issues such as bereavement, relationship issues, depression, eating disorders, phobias, anxiety and anger management. I offer a supportive, confidential, non-judgemental space to speak about whatever is on your mind.

I generally work on an open-ended basis, but can offer time-limited therapy if suitable. Sessions are weekly and 50 minutes, mainly in person but online possible.

Practice description

Psychodynamic therapy offers a space to explore the deeper emotional patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Rooted in the understanding that our early experiences and unconscious processes influence present-day thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, this approach invites reflection and insight.

People come to therapy for many reasons – during times of transition, after loss, in moments of uncertainty, or when something long-held no longer feels sustainable. In therapy, we work together to gently uncover recurring themes, relational dynamics, and internal conflicts that may be contributing to distress or difficulty. This process can help you make sense of longstanding patterns, navigate complex emotions, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

The therapy isn’t about rushing to solutions, it’s about creating room for insight, healing, and change at a pace that feels safe and manageable. By engaging with the underlying emotional landscape, it’s possible to find greater clarity, resilience, and freedom in how you live and relate.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute introductory phone or zoom call, where we can discuss your therapy needs and arrange an initial consultation.

In the initial consultation we can explore in more depth what brings you to therapy. I can also answer any questions you might have at this stage.
