About me and my therapy practice
If you鈥檙e a trans woman feeling worn down from holding everything together 鈥 navigating identity, relationships, trauma, or long periods of survival 鈥 you鈥檙e not alone.
I鈥檓 an integrative therapist with over 20 years鈥 experience supporting LGBTQIA+ communities. I work primarily with trans women and trans-feminine people, and also work with LGBTQIA+ clients where it feels like a good relational fit, and I have capacity.
I offer a calm, affirming therapy space where you don鈥檛 need to explain or justify who you are. Therapy can move at your pace, with care and attention to what you鈥檝e lived through and what you need now.
I have over 20 years鈥 experience working with LGBTQIA+ communities, neurodivergent people, and young people.
Alongside my therapy practice, I鈥檝e held leadership, training, safeguarding, and consultancy roles, including as co-CEO, co-founder, and designated safeguarding lead of the LGBTQIA+ support organisation Proud2Be. This informs my work, particularly where issues of care, responsibility, and systemic pressure are present.
I鈥檓 an integrative therapist, grounded in person-centred therapy, with influences from inner child work, transactional analysis, relational therapy, and trauma-informed practice.
I prioritise safety, trust, and collaboration. Therapy with me is led by you 鈥 we can work gently or more actively, reflectively or practically, depending on what feels right. I鈥檓 especially attentive to power, boundaries, and lived experience, and to creating affirming therapy spaces for trans and neurodivergent clients.
Practice description
Many people come to me feeling exhausted by years of coping 鈥 managing expectations, staying alert to others, or carrying responsibility without much support. I鈥檓 less interested in 鈥渇ixing鈥 you, and more interested in understanding how you learned to survive, and what might help you feel safer, more grounded, and more at home in yourself.
My work is kink- and sex-affirmative, body-positive, deeply LGBTQIA+ affirming, and actively anti-racist. I practise with an awareness of the social and political contexts that shape our lives, particularly for trans and marginalised people.
I work with clients aged 16+.
I primarily work with:
- Trans women and trans-feminine people
- Trans and gender-diverse adults of all genders
- LGBTQIA+ clients where there is a good relational fit
People often come to me for support with:
- Identity and transition
- Trauma and complex experiences
- Anxiety, depression, or OCD
- Burnout and long-term stress
- Grief, loss, or family rupture
- Relationships, boundaries, and self-worth
You don鈥檛 need to be in crisis to come to therapy. Sometimes it鈥檚 simply that things have become too heavy to carry alone.
