About me and my therapy practice
Welcome - I'm glad you're here.
I'm a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. No two people are the same, so I believe in offering a counselling experience that truly fits you.
I’m deeply passionate about working with you, side by side. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space. Whether you're looking for change, understanding, or simply someone to talk to, I’ll be here to support and encourage you at every step, at your pace.
I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming - it’s a brave step. I’m here to make the process as welcoming and comfortable as possible.
A bit about me: I moved to Liverpool for university and built a career in hospitality, eventually stepping into management. Long hours, intense pressure, and little sleep led to burnout. It was my own experience with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and grief that inspired my path into counselling.
Because I’ve been there, I understand how emotional struggles can impact daily life, relationships, and our sense of control. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, feel more grounded, and move forward with greater calm and clarity.
You're not alone. Let’s talk - when you’re ready.
Practice description
The basic principle of pluralistic therapy is that different people are helped by different processes and activities at different times, and that the best way of deciding on how therapy should proceed is to engage the client in a process of shared decision-making.
Person-centred therapy is client based, it is there to help you become more self aware of your emotions, and allows you to take control of your mental health. My role is to provide a non-judgmental space for you to explore and grow.
Psychodynamic therapy is a form of in-depth talk therapy that aims to bring unconscious or deeply buried thoughts and feelings to the conscious mind so that repressed experiences and emotions, often from childhood, can be brought to the surface and examined. In Psychodynamic therapy we are more of an alliance, using techniques appropriate to your state of mind.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy. It's a common treatment for a range of mental health problems. CBT teaches you coping skills for dealing with different problems. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions. My role would be to listen, teach and encourage, your role is to express concerns, learn, and implement that learning.
I completed a year of hypnotherapy training before commencing my counselling qualification. It is effective in helping people gain freedom from stress, anxiety, depression and phobias. It can also be a useful tool in sessions to enable you to feel relaxed and find a safe space when you are feeling emotionally dysregulated.
