About me and my therapy practice
Hi there, I’m Dr Claudia
I understand that life can be challenging and difficult to navigate at times. Perhaps you are experiencing low mood, anxiety or difficulties in your relationships. You can bring anything that is worrying you or causing you distress, confusion or pain. Sometimes, individuals are not sure why they are coming to see me. You might just feel things are not okay and feel a bit lost in life. You might be struggling to manage your feelings. You might want to engage in a journey of self-discovery and exploration. There is no right or wrong topic to bring and nothing that I would not consider important enough. Whatever is making you want to seek help is always justified and I can help you to explore further. Therapy can help to create shifts, movement and new energy that did not previously feel present or possible.
Practice description
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of effective therapy. I place value on creating an environment that feels empowering and hopeful ensuring your needs are at the centre of our work together. Meaning my approach to therapy is integrative, tailored to your needs while also drawing on a variety of therapeutic modalities to best support each person, including person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural therapies. This allows us to work together in a way that supports psychological, emotional, and relational wellbeing, tailored to each individual.
Over the past 10 years, I have undertaken rigorous clinical training and worked with children, adolescents, and adults. I have practiced in both Ireland and the United Kingdom across a range of mental health services, including the Health Service Executive (HSE), the National Health Service (NHS), charity services, private settings, private rehabilitation services, and staff support services. I have also worked in highly specialised areas, including addiction and substance misuse, trauma, and chronic health conditions.
I am a registered Psychologist and a member of the British Psychological Society and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I completed my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City, University of London.

I appreciate that beginning therapy can be daunting, and I believe a a fundamental aspect of therapy is developing a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and supported.
