About me and my therapy practice
I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is integrative. Integrative therapy brings together ideas and techniques from different counselling approaches. This means I can adapt the way I work to suit your individual needs, rather than taking a 鈥渙ne-size-fits-all鈥 approach. At the heart of my work is building a safe, supportive relationship, while drawing on different methods that may help you explore your experiences, understand patterns, and find new ways forward.
Together, we work collaboratively to understand what you鈥檙e going through and explore new perspectives. I may draw on different techniques depending on what feels most helpful for you, always keeping your goals at the centre of our sessions.
Clients often find that therapy helps them develop greater self-awareness, build resilience, and discover more effective ways of coping with challenges in daily life.
Practice description
In my practice, I offer a calm, confidential, and supportive space where you can talk openly and be heard without judgement. Sessions usually last 60 minutes and take place in person/online/by phone, depending on what works best for you.
I aim to create an environment that feels safe and consistent, so you can explore whatever feels important at your own pace. Some clients prefer a more structured approach, while others value having space to reflect more freely 鈥 I adapt the sessions to suit your needs.
You can expect me to listen with empathy, work collaboratively with you, and gently encourage reflection and self-understanding. Over time, this process can help you gain clarity, develop new ways of coping, and feel more confident in navigating life鈥檚 challenges.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to share what has brought you to therapy. I鈥檒l ask some gentle questions to understand your situation, and you鈥檒l have space to talk about what feels most important to you.
I鈥檒l explain how I work, including confidentiality and practicalities, and we can explore what you would like to gain from counselling. This is also a chance for you to ask me any questions about the process.
Many people find that the first session helps ease initial nerves and gives them a sense of whether they feel comfortable working with me. From there, we can decide together how to move forward.
