About me and my therapy practice
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling anxious, stuck in self-doubt, struggling with low self-esteem and overwhelmed by their emotions - often with a lingering sense of not being quite enough.
Do any of these feel familiar?
- You can鈥檛 stop criticising yourself or pushing for perfection.
- You crave closeness but find yourself pulling away.
- Your past, childhood, family, or old relationships, still shapes how you feel now.
- You鈥檝e been told you鈥檙e 鈥渢oo much鈥 and 鈥渘ot enough鈥 at the same time.
- You feel disconnected from who you are, especially in relationships or while adjusting to life abroad.
- You find it hard to trust yourself and struggle with confidence.
If so, you鈥檙e not alone.
Every part of you is welcome here: the part that wants to stay in control, the one that feels small or unseen, the part longing for closeness, and the part that鈥檚 scared of it. The parts that want to disappear, and the parts that want to take up more space.
This is a space to meet yourself more fully. We go at your pace. Nothing is forced. We slow down, get curious, untangle what鈥檚 underneath, and create room for what feels real.Whether you know exactly what you want to work on, or it feels harder to name, both are welcome.
Through this work, people often notice long lasting shifts - not quick, short lived fixes - but meaningful change.
What therapy with me can help you move towards:
Greater clarity about how early experiences and past relationships shaped your beliefs about yourself
- A quieter inner critic, softer self-blame, and more self-compassion
- Reduced shame and self-judgement, including around sexuality or body image
- Improved ability to set boundaries and build healthier, more grounded relationships
- More ease with intimacy, authenticity, and expressing your needs
- A calmer, steadier inner world with less overwhelm
- Increased confidence, self-trust, self-awareness and connection to who you are and to those around you
Practice description
I鈥檓 an integrative, relational, trauma-informed therapist. That means I work with the whole of you: your thoughts, feelings, body, and the protective parts that have helped you cope. I don鈥檛 see you as a problem to be solved; I see a whole person whose history, nervous system, and inner world all make sense in context.
No single approach fits everyone, so I weave together existential, psychodynamic, person-centred, parts work, experiential, and trauma-informed perspectives. This lets us work on multiple levels, emotional, psychological, and somatic, and explore the parts of you that have learned to protect, adapt, or hide.
Being relational means I meet you human-to-human. I bring my experience, but you are the expert in your own life. Together, we notice patterns, reactions, and the ways your past still shows up today, using our work together as a safe, steady space to explore what feels hard or hidden.
Other areas I work with
- I work with and support those affected by sexual trauma or childhood sexual abuse (CSA), whether you鈥檙e naming it for the first time or have carried it for years.
- Shame can show up in very personal areas of life; around sexuality, intimacy, or how you feel in your body. These experiences can feel difficult to talk about, especially if you鈥檝e learned to hide them or they鈥檙e linked to painful memories.
- I also support expats and migrants navigating the challenges of adjusting to life abroad, identity shifts, and the feelings of disconnection or isolation that can come with living in a new place.
My first session
This is a gentle space to get to know each other. You can share what has brought you to therapy, a specific difficulty, a recurring pattern, or a sense that things could feel better. There鈥檚 no expectation to tell your whole story; we鈥檒l go at a pace that feels safe.
I鈥檒l also explain a little about how I work and what to expect. This session is a chance to see whether we feel like a good fit and whether this space feels supportive and grounding for you.
The first session is offered at 50% of my usual fee, so you can explore therapy without added pressure. There鈥檚 never any obligation to continue as I believe finding a therapist you genuinely connect with is a really important part of the process.
If you鈥檇 like to get in touch before your first consultation, I鈥檓 happy to arrange a brief conversation too.
