About me and my therapy practice

I offer counselling in a relaxed and welcoming space. Reaching out can be difficult and often daunting.

I believe providing a non-judgmental, confidential space is key to building a trusting relationship. It is important to me that you feel safe to explore your feelings in your own time.

Treating my clients as human beings, without judgement is my priority.

I work with adults of all ages and children age 10+.

My experience includes working at a local charity with adults and children. I worked with issues including grief, anxiety, PTSD, self harm, infertility, menopause and addiction.

I also worked in a secondary school and college counselling young people. This included people with Special Educational Needs, grief issues, hidden disabilities, and chronic illness. I am very passionate about helping young people navigate through their challenges.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a mental health mentor for university students.

I have a particular interest in helping people with anxiety, chronic illness, hidden disabilities and infertility. Having experienced these myself, I recognise the difficulties they bring and effects they can have.

Practice description

I offer face to face sessions in a therapy room in Poulton Le Fylde and Counselling in the Community Bispham.

I also offer online sessions and walk and talk therapy.

Sessions are relaxed and will go at your pace.

The core of my practice is person centred. This means it is centred around you. Therapy will focus on what issues you want to talk through. I will listen and gently help you find solutions that feel right for you.

I can also help by suggesting coping strategies and therapy worksheets, which we can look at together.

My first session

I offer a free telephone or online 20 minute initial consultation. This is to see if therapy is right for you. It also helps to see if I am the right fit for you. I can explain how I work and answer any questions you may have.

Alternatively you can book a first session with me and see how you feel.

I believe it is important to feel comfortable with your therapist in order for the relationship to work.
