I believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate & professional support. My fees range from £40 to £80, depending on whether counselling or CBT-Psychotherapy is provided. To ensure affordability, I offer a 25% discount for individuals on low incomes, students, carers, armed forces and senior clients. If you are part of a group that I haven’t mentioned but feel you may be eligible for the 25% discount, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I strive to make support as accessible as possible & would be happy to discuss your circumstances with kindness & understanding. Your well-being matters, and I’m here to help.
Payments can be made via online transfer, bank transfer, cash, or invoice. Additionally, I am committed to giving back to the community and am happy to volunteer time during my working week to support charities or community groups that could benefit from counselling or therapy services.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello and Welcome,
My name is Michelle, and I’m a fully qualified and compassionate counsellor and therapist. I offer confidential, professional therapy tailored to your needs, either in person in a peaceful and private setting in Broadstone, or remotely via telephone or online sessions for clients across the UK and Ireland. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy, which can be a wonderful way to combine the benefits of nature with the therapeutic process.
At Well Mynd, my focus is on helping you take control of your life, improve your relationships - both with yourself and others - and address any underlying mental health concerns. I am here to listen, support, and guide you through any challenges you may be facing.
You will be truly heard. Together, we can work through life’s difficult moments, develop healthier coping strategies, and help you build a deeper understanding of yourself. Whether you’re dealing with mind health conditions, physical health challenges, or the impact of major life events, therapy can be a powerful tool for growth and healing.
I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting, but reaching out for support is a powerful act of self-care. I would love to help you on your path to feeling better, more balanced, and more in control of your life.
If you’re ready to take the next step, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to working with you.
Warm regards
Michelle Barnett

Practice description
In therapy, we will explore your feelings and experiences, helping you navigate through setbacks and disappointments. I’ll support you in developing a healthier sense of self, building positive relationships, and creating a strong, supportive network around you.
We can also work to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, developing coping skills and practice self-compassion to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing. Whether it’s improving communication in relationships or addressing deeper emotional challenges, I will be there to guide you every step of the way.
I work with individuals experiencing a range of difficulties, including:
**Depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD**
**Bereavement and loss** **Redundancy and career challenges**
**Relationship difficulties**
**Low self-esteem, anger, shame, and the impact of trauma or abuse**
You don’t have to navigate these struggles alone. Together, we can develop practical tools to manage life’s challenges and reduce the long-term impact of mental health conditions. My goal is to help you build trust in yourself and in the therapeutic relationship, which will serve as a foundation for healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
My first session
Your first therapy session with me, Michelle, will be a gentle and supportive space designed entirely around you and what you’re bringing. Lasting around 50 minutes, we’ll begin with an assessment to help me understand your needs and hopes for therapy, and we’ll discuss a counselling agreement so you feel safe, informed, and in control. Whether we meet in person, online, or over the phone, my approach is humanistic and integrative, drawing on CBT and other methods to suit you as a whole person. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you at your own pace, with warmth, empathy, and without judgment, a space where you can begin to make sense of things and take the first steps toward change.
