About me and my therapy practice
Curiosity doesn鈥檛 really have a size limit鈥攕ometimes a tiny 鈥渨hy鈥 opens the door to something much bigger.
The fact you are reading this shows that you are curious to find ways to get support, improve your relationship with yourself and others or simply notice that something doesn't feel right. This shows self awareness and courage and it is important to recognise this as a step nurturing your self development.
I am an Integrative Therapist working mainly with psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. I believe that our past affects our present. Sometimes we can find ourselves repeating patterns of behaviour, experiencing difficult feelings or reactions, or struggling to understand ourselves and the world around us.
Therapy provides a space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand what may be happening beneath the surface. By exploring your thoughts, feelings, and relationships, we can work towards a deeper understanding of yourself, the patterns that may be influencing your life and consider changes you may wish to make-however big or small.
Practice description
I understand that each person鈥檚 story is unique and offer a heartfelt interest in who you are and what makes you, you.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where you can speak openly about what is worrying you. Therapy will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, guided by what feels most important in your life.
By embracing your individuality, we can explore your experiences together, develop healthier ways of coping, and build a stronger, more resilient relationship with yourself.
Alongside talking therapy, I may also incorporate creative and imaginative approaches where this feels helpful. This could include exploring dreams or using creative methods such as art, play or anything that seems to resonate with you therapeutically. These approaches can offer alternative ways to express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words, while also supporting a deeper understanding of your experiences.
I have worked with organisations including St Mungo's, Best Start for Life, and The Starfish Project at Bede House Association, as well as within HM Prison Service. I have supported people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals experiencing homelessness and those who have had to leave their homes or countries.
I specialise in supporting survivors of domestic abuse and individuals affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). I believe the therapeutic relationship provides a safe and supportive foundation鈥攐ne where you can speak your truth freely, without fear of judgement. From this place, we can begin to explore your experiences together and make sense of how they may be impacting your life today.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, working with psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. This means I draw on different therapeutic perspectives while keeping your individual needs at the centre of our work. Together, we can explore how past experiences may shape the present and consider the changes you may wish to make-however big or small.Practice description
My first session
Our first meeting will be our consultation. This is a free 20 minute video call for you to get a feel for how it is to talk with me and to ask me any questions you may have about potential future therapy with me. I will also get to know a little about what brings you to therapy. You dont have to discuss anything you may not wish to yet as we will work at a pace that feels right for you.
Should we decide to begin working together, we will complete a short intake form during our first session that gives me a more informed view of various ways you may be impacted currently.
This can be a great help in 'where to start' for those feeling a little uncertain about how to begin. It can also act as a valuable tool in tracking parts of your progress.
I do not repeat this until much later in our work so to provide you with the space to speak about whatever is on your mind each week.
