About me and my therapy practice
I believe we all carry stories shaped by our early experiences, relationships, and the roles we learned to play. In therapy, we gently look at these stories with curiosity and care—not to judge them, but to understand how they continue to influence your life today.
Using an integrative approach grounded in Transactional Analysis, I draw on trauma-informed and existential principles to help you reconnect with who you are underneath the anxiety, low self-esteem, or emotional distress.
There’s no pressure to be anyone but yourself. We move at your pace.
Transactional Analysis is a form of therapy that examines how past experiences and ways of communicating influence present relationships and behaviours. In TA, we explore patterns in your behaviours and interactions, looking at how different "ego states" (Parent, Adult, and Child) influence how you communicate with others and with yourself. By identifying these patterns and understanding your "life script" (a set of unconscious beliefs formed in childhood or a personal narrative), we can work together to help you make healthier choices, addressing different issues to name few as anxiety, depression, stress or low self-esteem.
Similarly, Relational Theory emphasizes the supportive power of relationships in therapy, offering a safe environment to rebuild trust, understand relational wounds, and support healing from trauma or relational challenges.
Practice description
I strive to offer a calm, compassionate space where you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, painful relationship patterns, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you don’t have to face it alone.
Therapy is a place to pause and gently make sense of your experiences. I’ll support you to understand the roots of your struggles and begin to move toward a life that feels more grounded and authentic
My first session
In our first session, we’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you might want to achieve or explore. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable.
We’ll also complete an intake form together, which helps me understand a bit more about you and any relevant background information. This is also the time where we’ll discuss the therapy contract—the practical and ethical agreement that covers things like confidentiality, session times, fees, and how we’ll work together.
The first session is as much for you as it is for me: it’s a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether this feels like the right space for you.
