About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I know from my own experience, that coming to talk to someone about your life and your struggles can feel very uncomfortable and overwhelming.

My aim is to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel safe and at ease, allowing you to share your thoughts and feelings openly, without fear of judgment.

Together, we’ll explore what isn’t working in your life and the pain you’re facing, discovering new ways to manage and alleviate your struggles.

I recognise that reaching out for support is a significant step, so I offer a free, no-obligation phone consultation to see if we’re the right fit. From there, we can work at your pace to find the approach that best meets your needs.

I have experience supporting clients with a range of challenges, including Anxiety, ADHD, Panic, intrusive thoughts, PTSD, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, OCD, social anxiety and more.

Practice description

Welcome to Cadzow Counselling. I am Lorna McGraw, a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and EMDR Therapist, an accredited member of the Â鶹ԭ´´ and a member of EMDR UK.

I work using an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other integrative therapeutic approaches. This allows therapy to be tailored to your individual needs, helping you explore thoughts, emotions, and past experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

CBT can help you understand and change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours, while EMDR is a powerful therapy often used to process distressing or traumatic experiences. By integrating these approaches with other therapeutic techniques, I aim to support you in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and lasting positive change.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to face things alone. I am here to offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can begin your journey towards healing, self-understanding, and personal growth.
